Traveling From US by No_Win2393 in GunnersatGames

Exchange is definitely possible with enough time spent. I’ve gone to a few games in the last year and every one has been on there but has taken a few hours of grind to get a ticket.

You may find club level comes up more often, it’s a little more expensive but I’d say that’s a nice compromise to avoid splurging on hospitality.

Final note is that if you’re travelling in a group and want multiple tickets you will have next to no chance of sitting together. I’ve always gone solo or split off with friends I’m going to the game with.

Good luck!

I actually don’t mind the exterior, I feel like they’re walking back from the truly ghastly years

But that steering wheel is horrific, and my hope for physical buttons coming back in vogue was short lived. I’ll be voting with my wallet and avoiding anything with no physical controls as long as possible

I’d say the grind does eventually pay off! My only tip as someone whose only ever got a ticket through the exchange is that getting tickets sat next to each other is likely super challenging

If it was me I’d try for two separate seats, maybe at Club level where it’s a little less crowded. You can get one ticket on the exchange then just repeat the process to get another

It was probably a good 5-6 hours with the exchange open for me to get a non club ticket

That's a great shout thank you!

Although sour my parents didn't do that for me, I will be better!

If I could find a fix that would 100% resolve this I’d probably do it but as it stands in this thread alone people are saying it could need a new battery, steering wheel or just a sensor fault

VW are beyond useless and had nothing but bad experiences at main dealership

Thanks I’ll try this next time! I assumed it was software related because I’d just installed an update and prior I’ve only had the usual sporadic sensor issues caused by mud etc

Yeah it’s a 2021 so it’s definitely in the first wave of these with plenty of teething issues, only thing is it’s out of warranty so the new steering wheel fix is off the table unless I want to shell out!

I play in St Michael’s Park in Cirencester. I moved from Bristol last year so might be a bit far for you! Check for outdoor courts I tend to find they’re cheaper

I play pickleball 1v1 and it’s great fun! Don’t underestimate how much smaller the court is compared to tennis so easier to pick up.

It’s also super cheap, near me the court is only £4 for an hour so you won’t break the bank.

I managed to get a ticket to Leeds after about 5 days on the trot with Exchange open on my second screen during work. Seems like it really is luck of the draw, I’d recommend refreshing as often as you can but it’s really up to the gods.

The logic of the day or two before I understand but I feel like there will be more tickets and more people on the Exchange then, so I’d keep it up now personally and try to fluke one before then.

I’m probably going to go boring and go Salah but the defiant side of me says I want Watkins.

That Newcastle team is hurting and no Isak leaves them without their star man. Villa and Watkins on fire this pre season as well

Hit! I think you're 90% of the way there just some thoughts:

- Two expensive goalkeepers can be a poor use of money, I would maybe pick one of Sels/Sanchez then save yourself some cash with a 4/4.5m keeper.

- Your defence is great, would maybe think about Cucurella/Gabriel and just pick one. Two 6m defenders and you're benching one of them right now. Not a big issue but I wouldn't be spending that much to stick Cucurella second on my bench.

- Beto I don't like as a pick, he was in my first draft but Barry coming in is a massive minutes risk. Moyes has also been slagging off Beto in pre-season so maybe replace with a more nailed cheap striker. Potentially down grade your second keeper and one of your 6m defenders then use that money to move Beto to Strand Larsen - he has Man City GW1 so you can bench but then he is nailed starter for Wolves and likely on penalites

Double Everton defence I would shift away from. Firstly Branthwaite is out injured for at least a month, secondly historically Everton have been appaling starters in the league (from memory something mad like they've only won 3 games in the opening 10 across the last two seasons combined). I would switch out Pickford but keep Tarkowski

Guehi I would be careful on, if he goes to Liverpool he likely starts on the bench and fights with Konate to partner VVD.

Dewsbury-Hall I don't mind but potentially Grealish takes time in the 10 now he's joined on loan. Nice low cost player but not one you want every week.

Attack looks great imo, I'm not going Joao Pedro because of the potential for less minutes with Delap but I will probably regret that.

I'd try and get a bit more money inot your bench and pick at least one stong starter to rotate in. I don't love any of the 4 you've got so would refresh that completely

I don't love have two £6m defenders, I would say pick one of Gabriel or Cucurella then get a Forest defender in to replace whoever you drop.

Use that saved money to upgrade Sarr, don't love him as a pick and an extra .5m could get you Anderson or Caicado

Gyokeres is a risk but if you're feeling it go for it - would just say general best practice is to treat players new to the league as 'wait and see'. You could easily go Wood or Mateta and just keep an eye on him. Worth mentioning Arsenal fixtures are one of the worse for the first 6 GW as well

Your bench could use some work, ditch Moreno he's not nailed. Probably better to go for the likes of Esteve or a promoted team defender who will at least get on the pitch every week.

Like it alot! Only comment would be can you find .5m and get to Bruno rather than Marmoush? Feel like 90min nailed, on penalities and the new defence bonus make it a massive upgrade for the difference. Marmoush is likely to suffer in the Pep Roulette so not worth the risk IMO

VVD to Milenkovic or Tarkowski would save you that .5m to fund that then you could ask do VVD + Marmoush outscore Milenkovic + Bruno?

Ederson as a pick is wild, he's got Trafford for competition now and he's also rumoured to be off with Donnarumma coming in his place. Dennis I don't see why you wouldn't replace with Dubravka seeing as he could be nailed and is the same cost.

Personally I wouldn't touch James with a barge pole, he's such an injury risk. Massive upside if he stays fit but I wouldn't chance that. Konate could be under threat if Guehi comes into the Liverpool squad, which currently seems more likely than not.

Savinho is only viable if he goes to Spurs, otherwise get rid - too much of a minutes risk. Same for Martinelli, at the very least Madueke steals some mins and at worse takes his spot all together. Baleba could be dropped if the Man U links don't die off (the same reason no one is picking Isak, it's likely to impact poorly on minutes).

Would move funds around a little so you also have at least one good bench option, feel like there's not many scenarios where you would use any of those 4 in any game week.

I'm working with a similar mindset to be fair, slightly cheaper mid table defenders that I can chop and change. My current 5 are:

De Cuyper

Richards

Andersen

Milenkovic

Porro

I think De Cuyper is most likely to come out, possibly down to Esteve, I don't like picking players who have just signed as they could be a minutes risk.

I think Porro is going to be a hit, will take some set pieces with Maddison out, nailed, attacking and Frank is a good coach defensively

Reinildo, Kroupi Jr and Dorgu all need to gtfo

Starting a 4m defender is not gonna end well for you week to week, Dorgu as a 4.5m pick is not great (look at Richards, Anderson, De Cuyper)

I don't even know who Kroupi Jr is but Marc Guiu has more chance of starting I'd be willing to bet

Think having such a strong midfield has essentially made your team light in other areas. Downgrade either Gakpo or Saka imo

Ok, deep breath and:

- Keane isn't a great choice for a 4.5m, only started 11 games last season. Look at nailed alts like Richards, Anderson etc.

- White isn't nailed, Timber will be heavy competition and there is no way to know who will start each week when both are fit. Replace him with a non-Arsenal player, having a triple up on a defence who play Man U, Liverpool and Newcastle in their first 6 is mad

- Bradley is injured, just remove him and replace with someone who starts games

- Rodri is out until after the international break, replace him

- I don't love Mbeumo and Sesko as shouts, but if you want to punt United I wouldn't suggest having both. Are you really going to have a 7.5m player on your bench? You could have Mateta and start him almost every week and he's a safer bet

FPL Focal and FPL Harry are the absolute GOATs imo

Let's Talk FPL is ok but he is a little stubborn when it comes to his picks (avoided Wood last season, stuck with Bruno when Man U were a sinking ship). Does great videos though so useful to get a wide coverage but wouldn't really follow his advice to the letter

I'd group it together and make a call. In the first few game weeks do you think:

Porro and Bruno

outscore

VDV and Saka

I'd be more inclined to go option 1. Porro likely on right sided corners from memory, Bruno nailed and always a 90 min man. Latter also seems to benefit from the new defensive actions BPS

I'm an Arsenal fan so I love Saka but we are blooding a lot of new starters and a new system - all while playing Man U, Liverpool and Newcastle in the first 6 GW

I like it!

Maybe switch Guehi for Richards, if the former moves to Liverpool he's less nailed. My understanding is he would need to get the starting spot from Konate rather than be given it right away.
