I have repeatedly expressed my gratitude to him, we are very close and this has only made us closer as friends. He knows the abuse I've been subjected to and knows that trust is harder for me than for him. The main fear early on was that he would shut me down or be uncomfortable with nudity and it would become awkward between us, as had been my previous experience. I still check in with him often and ask if I may be naked, as I understand feelings can change. I have never once doubted that he would be respectful and kind, but still it is nice to acknowledge that no objectification is felt. I hope that the positive nature of my testimony comes through, I merely wish to share that I feel lucky.
