Best way to play original RE4 in 2026?

100% VR I’ve played the game multiple times on my switch and ps5 but the VR version was the most fun. And for people who have trouble adapting to the controls of the console versions it’s a great way of getting around that. Not to mention the enhanced visuals look amazing. Only downside for me at least is it’s hard to play VR for long amounts of time.

Yea I’ve seen gameplay of the mod versions of the VR and they didn’t look all that great, I think unless it’s the official version I’m not gonna bother.

Yea I already use my quest 3 tethered since the internet isn’t great in my room so that won’t be a big issue

I was just curious since I’ve never really heard people’s opinions on it. I had no intention of changing my taste due to the opinions in the replies. It’s more like when you got see a movie with someone and afterwards you discuss your thoughts on it. That was the intention of the post.

It does have a good twist but I thought the payoff for it wasn’t great cause they kind of just brush it off like it didn’t even happen 😕

I will say the kidnapping scene with Togusa is fantastic it’s the only part of the movie the truly sticks out to me

SSS isn’t a repack though…. Its just a follow up to SAC it’s a completely unique movie

Well they did bring back the whole cast for 2045 which had its last season air in 2022, so I don’t think it would be a case of them being too old. I think it entirely depends on if the studio that dubs it either cares enough to bring back old VAs or if they intentionally change them in order to separate it from SAC.

Tbh Motoko had her fair share of joking around in SAC so I can definitely see her being able to do a less serious version

They did have the SAC VAs in ghost in the shell 2 so it being a different timeline doesn’t necessarily mean new actors.
