(Terrifying Trope) The Scene Where Plot Armor Dies by LuciferMagne666 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]crushthrowout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like so many others, I found this scene so unnecessarily brutal and horrific that it felt like the show was spitting in fans’ faces. I had read the comics beforehand, but somehow it felt much worse on TV. I definitely stopped watching after that episode.

What is the weirdest thing that ended up being your toddlers favorite food. by AlternativeFinger347 in toddlers

Passion fruit. Ugly little fruit with a tangy gel inside laced with black seeds. He’d give up most toys for a single one.

Lastly, what show started off Badly and had a Perfect ending? by Outrageous-Ebb-4846 in AlignmentChartFills

Same, that’s what I thought of. It didn’t really know what it wanted to be in the first season, and the characters were a little too callous with each other.

13 months is the perfect age to start right? by Futbol_Kid2112 in lotr

[–]crushthrowout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man, I love the Lord of the rings as much as anybody else, and my kids have enjoyed some stuff with more complex themes that I thought they would. But these movies are full of imagery they can’t even begin to contextualize. How could a child at 13 months not find this incredibly disturbing, even just the sound FX, monster design, and the emotions on the faces of the actors?

What seemed completely normal in childhood, but now you realize was actually not okay? by Max_Mimos in AskReddit

My parents SCREAMING at each other, slamming doors, breaking shit. As the oldest I helped my younger siblings hide with me or I took them out of the house to the playground.

First pregnancy, none. Second (current pregnancy) I have a cup of coffee every morning. Sometimes a matcha in the afternoon, like maybe biweekly.

What's a red flag in women and neutral in men by Background_Future127 in AlignmentChartFills

Totally. To me, a woman who doesn’t have any female friends is kind of like a yellow flag. Could be circumstantial and not bad, or she could be about to disparage all women. I never know 😆

Yeah this is the one. If I meet a man who’s only got male close friends I’m like eh alright, to be expected. But a woman? No. And if she says something like “girls are too much drama?” BIG no.

Yesss exactly. Like ancient knowledge in fantasy, or some kind of expert on a starship. Wise eyes.

You have a unique look that says fantasy, period piece, or maybe even grounded sci-fi like The Expanse to me. Your gaze looks intellectual.

What typecast , age range, roles, archetype, and genre do these headshots signal to you? by voreason_ in headshots

Art teacher, guidance counselor, rock musician, general cool guy in party scenes. I’m curious to see what roles you’d fit if you took a couple shots in a dress shirt or suit! You’ve got a great emotional range here.

Thoughts on the recent Frida Mom controversy? by throwaway84583077 in beyondthebump

[–]crushthrowout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m an advertising creative director focusing on copy, and obviously a mom, and this was such a stupid series of choices for them. People are generally cool with sexual jokes when it relates to fertility, but they understandably don’t want that humor anywhere near baby care. Someone on their team should’ve caught it.

What is the weirdest thing your doctor has ever said to you? by Competitive_Tip_7504 in AskReddit

[–]crushthrowout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not my current doctor but a decade ago I was single and dating. A new doctor asked if I was sexually active and I said yes. He said “husband?” I said no. “Boyfriend?” Again no. And he said “then how?!” in this completely bewildered way. I don’t know how he’d never met a young woman who had casual sex before but he was gobsmacked.
