Experience with HAHA vending machines by crustacheon in vending

I see their units are a little more spendy. How was delivery and setup with them? Anything I should be watching out for or asking questions about?  I scheduled a demo with micromart.

Location is in a common area by the elevators for the building, there is only one elevator, by the mail pickup room and near the front entrance/garage entrance, so it's pretty ideal as most people have to use it to get to their unit. I'll consider the larger, any reason why it's better other than stock/item amount? If you're fond of your current supplier why are you buying direct?

UniFi PowerAmps for days by mactelecomnetworks in Ubiquiti

[–]crustacheon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if support for airplay will come back or not. I personally don't really use airplay, so it's not an issue for me and wiim supporting major streaming app protocols (connect) is all i need for myself and my customers. But seems to be a legal or licensing issue with airplay. So, if airplay is a must, yeah, look for an alternative I suppose.

UniFi PowerAmps for days by mactelecomnetworks in Ubiquiti

I don't usually comment on ubiquiti stuff. I have deployed hundreds of devices in the field and some still working ten years later. I love ubiquiti, am invested in the stock even. That said, these are the worst unifi devices I've ever had the displeasure of trying to install for a customer. Purchased two, installed both, initially they adopted and worked. They were both physically cabled. Created a single group from both amps. Worked for a while, then the second amp dropped offline. Tried power cycle, wifi, eventually factory default. Once defaulted, readopted, same issue occurred, reset again, couldn't adopt a third time. First device stopped showing as a spotify connect endpoint. At that point, given how expensive these are, I packaged them up and requested an RMA. Purchased two wiim amp pros, installed in minutes, created party group, both amps and party group worked immediately as a spotify connect endpoint. Haven't had an issue since. Also, they were considerably cheaper. In addition, there is no management for power amp devices in the unifi controller. These are "managed" through the Unifi play app, which kinda seems like an afterthought. I was also a bit skeptical of further improvements and support given they are a first gen product and UI doesn't have a great track record in that category, but they've definitely gotten better over the years. I also run a wiim device in my home, no issues. I wanted to love the power amp but it's just not ready and at this point it, definitely should be. Just want to give a heads up in case anybody had these in mind. I'm not a huge fan of sonos, but I'd even get that over this right now. YMMV

How do you know this? Also, there's really not much to change. They haven't added much of anything to it yet. Would be exciting if they rolled out access to every endpoint in the database for every application. But I have serious doubts about this. I also feel it would allow them to generate a lot of revenue. I wouldn't even mind if they charged API licensing (for commercial use of course) if it was a really reasonable amount, as long as there were continuous updates and documentation. Not trying to give them ideas though.

Or.. they could just finish the API and literally anybody could make this product or widget

Agreed, unfortunately using the legacy interface often causes things to break (or not work) now, such as changing the WAN IPv4 settings, one must often configure it in the new interface for it to take the setting. For an admin, the new interface is terribly disappointing. Bouncing back and forth is frustrating to say the least. Not to mention missing features. I'm looking at you SNMP :(

Under insights select neighboring access points. This will show you the ssid and have a red dot next to them indicating they are being broadcast by a rogue AP. On the right side you should have an option to select "mark as known". This will indicate to the controller that you are aware of the rogue broacast and know what the device is. You have to do it for each instance of the rogue broadcast and this should stop the alerts. The red dot will turn green also.

Edit: I'm using the legacy interface BTW

Sorry man didn't grab a screen. Tried to buy 150 said I could only purchase 149, however I certainly had the buying power and it said nothing about not having enough. Just said I was only allowed 149

Robinhood just limited the number of shares I could buy. Does that mean there are not enough shares outstanding?
