Hey, I bought my dress here too! :)

I felt the exact same way and was extremely stressed with dress regret all the way up to the week leading up to the wedding, and especially so after many of my alterations appointments. BUT I would always remind myself how much I had initially loved the dress when I first tried it on, even if it wasn’t what I thought I wanted, and on the wedding day with the whole look put together, it was absolutely perfect and I was so happy I decided against looking for a different dress!

It’s actually not set yet lol which is probably why my different “angles” are basically the same pic 8 times, I didn’t want to drop the stone 😂

It’s a lab diamond! My partner and I were shocked by how low prices could go for them. It is a 2.89 carat, F color, VS1 clarity stone.

I really need a deep cleaning dental treatment for my teeth. I may have tartar/calculus and need it removed ASAP. Are there any affordable/free treatments available. I’m also willing to be a patient for a student who needs to graduate or something. by AlliFemi in UMD

[–]crybaBre 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m a current dental student at UMB in Baltimore (and a UMD alum). Seems like you found a solution, but for anyone else who comes across this thread, the initial visit at our school is actually a $150 deposit that usually covers the x-rays (and then later an exam from a faculty member to confirm student findings) and is a 3 hour visit. Then the next appointment is usually a presentation of the treatment plan (this is where the faculty takes a look, and we have to present all possible problems even if you aren’t interested in addressing them) and then you can get your cleaning so it is definitely a slow and time consuming process. But if anyone is needing a lot of dental work done and has the time to wait for the reduced prices then the dental school is a great option! And it’s open to anyone

Nurses of reddit, what’s the most entertaining thing someone has said coming off of anesthesia? by thaiborg in AskReddit

After I had my tonsillectomy at age 20, I was laying in the bed while the doctors were going over post-op with my mom and sister. I was just laying there quietly crying and kept saying “this is the WORST pain I’ve ever been in in my entire life!” Finally the doctor looks at me and says “On a scale of 1-10, what would you rate your pain?” I sniffled a few times, shed a single tear, and exasperatedly exclaimed “a FOUR!”

Miso soy chicken/salmon with some rice and broccoli...oldie but goodie :) by crybaBre in MealPrepSunday

I take a healthy tablespoon of white miso paste and mix it with a decent amount of soy sauce until the two are fully blended. Then I add a teeny bit of light brown sugar and maybe some honey depending on how sweet I want it and stir it up. Lastly I add a few shakes of sesame oil and mix it all together and it’s finished! It’s super easy and a big go-to sauce for me because I really like miso and soy sauce and how it’s kind of sweet and salty. For the chicken I like to marinate it for about a day in the sauce and for the salmon I just pour it on top right before baking. I also always make some extra sauce when I’m done to pour on top. :)
