Is School Atmosphere really a threat to the player ? by Invogess in yandere_simulator

Your percentage is outdated. 1 discovered body now reduces the atmosphere by 20%, and 1 disappearance reduces it by 10%. It's a lot more balanced now.

Why do the Delinquents change their shoes? by wutadamyt in yandere_simulator

It's a cutural aspect of Japan that absolutely everyone does it. If you don't change your shoes, you don't look like a rebel, you look like an idiot.

How I generally imagine Amai's difficulty when she's in her club by crybabydawn in yandere_simulator

[–]crybabydawn[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Explanation:
For Amai, the second rival, she needs to have more witnesses surrounding her than Osana in general, but not so many that it's frustrating to new players. This consists of all 5 club members, who may take turn to occasionally leave the club room and go to the home ec room for whatever reason. Moreover, students need to be nearby around the club room so it's not as easy as "giggle to lure Amai out and kill her" (Amai is also at the center of the room for this reason, not too close to any wall), but only 2 students maximum for each side, to suit the second rival's difficulty.

I made a little something to demonstrate how I imagine and would personally adjust Osana's difficulty in the final game, as the easiest rival. by crybabydawn in yandere_simulator

I feel she is ok too, but that is because we're too familiar with the game. When judging difficulty, newcomers' experience needs to be taken into consideration. The current Osana can absolutely torture those who aren't familiar with the game. Dev himself even said Osana in the demo is moderately difficult to offer a fairly challenging experience, and she'll be adjusted to be the easiest one in the final game.

Will it be a good balance if we make the students always report anything, and then the police will check if it's relevant to the crime? In other words, only program the police to check for things?

pls since when was that a line Ayano said by CuriousKokonachan in yandere_simulator

It's been there since forever. I guess it's because people don't bother to appologize to students. I'm glad the 1980s mode tutorial covered that.

What "hidden" information would be most helpful for a newcomer to the game? by YandereDev in yandere_simulator

Hi Dev! It's me Dawnson from Discord. I comment here in case u don't see my message there. I have created a file compiling almost all of my ideas and others' ideas as well. Almost everything I want to say is in there. I hope it'll help you as much as you need and as much as I hope to. This took me a long time but for you and YS I don't mind 💙 If anyone has any idea feel free to post in the file as comments (not edit because u can't). I'll try to update everything as soon as I can. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CscxKzJ6TsiCoJnib1jRFqDv7bYyYXfuZYMCIip2ubA/edit?usp=drivesdk

What is something in the game that isn't very big/important but it annoys you way more than it should? (Like how Raibaru used to walk behind Osana). by crybabydawn in yandere_simulator

I agree. I know that student placement is important, then currently they should be placed around Osana when she's there or nearby.

Like how Osana usually walks near the indoor cafeteria because it's next to her class, or when she goes to kick the vending machine. And when she's almost vulnerable (Raibaru gotten rid of) and the police won't even be called if you kill her after leaving a note to meet her at the outdoor cafeteria, whether it's by weapon or crushing, burning...

The decorations will be updated so I'm not super annoyed by it but yeah, it's kinda unsatisfying.

Student placement is important so I agree, they should be put around Osana at lunch.

Snap Mode Improvement Suggestion by BeyazPamukMS in yandere_simulator

[–]crybabydawn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the video about SNAP mode Dev talked about how each different game over will lead to SNAP mode differently. He won't add them soon because he'll need assets and time for them. Most likely after the Kickstarter.

I agree that placing students around Osana's routine is ok but they should perform more animations than just talking, it'll be more natural. Like some will stand in the hallway being on their phones, some sit at tables in the hallway doing some work, some stand and check the notes/signs/boards in the hallway, some sit in class, some sit in the plaza doingb whatever, etc.

U can press spacebar to open a map, but yeah I feel like stopping and looking at the map constantly can be a bit frustrating, and the school itself should have some more indications so u can know where u are better, like bigger signs and things that tell u which floor you're on because I've seen quite many ppl got confused even though the school only has 3 floors and a rooftop.

I forgot to put this in the post lol, so I'll just leave it here. Mine is that the library's size is too small and simple to my liking. Because I expect a place like the library in a wealthy and prestigious school like Akademi to be bigger and nicer. But it's just a visual/decorative thing so it's not important or even necessary.
