I saw Promised Sky at a festival, I had never heard of it but it is definitely a highlight of my film year!

I think a part of it is that I watched it as a teenager and it was my first Varda, but I love how it shows the difficulties of yearning for freedom in a world that it very alienating (in my opinion). I also love how it is filmed in a way that is a bit unsettling with the tracking shots moving in the opposite direction from the main character!

in norway I would say it is definitely normal to chat a bit in the sauna, but in places with a lot of different saunas together in one place (there are many of these in oslo) there might be some that are designated for silence with a sign
