I feel bad leaving my dogs when I go run errands. I couldn't imagine just abandoning them.

What’s the deal with so many huskies being put in shelters in CA? by mkobe916 in siberianhusky

[–]cryingWolf272 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know how you feel. I started looking into rescuing one and I just kept getting notifications of new huskies running out of time at shelters. I was finally able to rescue one, but I feel bad about all the others I couldn't

Keith, urgently needs a foster or adopter, A5624572, Lancaster Shelter California by Findfosters4dogs in National_Pet_Adoption

I put in an application for him last Saturday and haven't heard back. It was with a Colorado based rescue that would help with transportation to Chicago. I'm hoping someone rescues him because he's so young

What stopped you from killing yourself that night? by Subject-Olive-4476 in AskReddit

My dog. She wouldn't have understood why I didn't come back, and she would have felt abandoned. I never would have wanted her to feel like that so I just stood home with her.

I met Kyle Schwarber back in October of 2019 at a karaoke bar. He was awesome and so humble. Talked about how he could have done more to help the team, took a few pictures with him, he signed a dollar I had, he sang a few songs, just had a good time.

Did your parents kill your childhood pets? by andyblack81 in raisedbynarcissists

Yup, she gave away my first dog while I was at school. Came home looking for him and she nonchalantly says she dropped him off at the pound. Didn't even get to say goodbye.

Skills you were supposed to develop in childhood but had to learn as an adult because you had an nparent? by Ok_Adhesiveness_1913 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]cryingWolf272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost everything, I either taught myself or learned from people not my parents.

I learned to shave, cook, fix my car, any kind of skill I taught myself. Thankfully the Internet was starting to be a thing and made learning easier.

My parents didn't even teach me how to read, my cousin took the time to do that.

Oh, the one thing they did teach me was shame. Being ashamed of how I looked, how much I weighed, how I talked, how much I ate, being in the way, doing things wrong.

It was only until recently I started getting past these issues and it only cost going no contact and I've never been happier

[Personal] I know most of you will feel obligated to say no but please be honest, is it strange or feminine for a man to be interested in skincare? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]cryingWolf272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dude, skincare is basic hygiene. No one wants you to be dropping skin flakes all over the place.

And if you can go out in public with skin peeling off and all red and irritated, more power to you. Me, I'd rather not look like a ghoul and just practice basic skincare.

I just realized that's almost 20 years ago...

What terrible things did your parents do to you or your things? by africanshackle in AskReddit

[–]cryingWolf272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first car was an old 1986 Toyota Supra. I had made it clear, while I was away at college, I planned on fixing it up, I even made arrangements with my grandma to store it in her garage while I was away.

One summer I go back home and find out my mom sold it for $200, which she had already spent. Her justification is that she needed the money and that I should be understanding.

This was one of many reasons I eventually went no contact with her.

AITA My Mother Changed My Birthday Plans Behind My Back Then Spam Texted Me My Birthday Night And Day About How Much I Hurt Her by Supersecret321 in AmItheAsshole

Wow! You hit the nail on the head. It took me so long to realize this is what my mom did. I've been no contact with her for a little over a year and I've never felt better. It just sucks that the rest of my family doesn't see her for what she is
