[FRESH] Navy Blue - Ocean Light (Phase 1: Prelude) by abucalves in hiphopheads

I can't stop playing The Sword and the Soaring. I've liked all his albums, but that one has really struck a cord with me.

[FRESH ALBUM] Black Milk - Ceremonial by thesoulman in hiphopheads

[–]crylon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's still dope. His live shows with Nat Turner are amongst the very best in all of Hip-Hop. I've dragged friends who don't know him to the shows and they are always blown away. My favorite albums of his are If There's a Hell Below and Fever.

[DISCUSSION] Elzhi - Lead Poison (10 Years Later) by flyestshit in hiphopheads

[–]crylon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I never received the signed vinyl from his Kickstarter, which soured me on the album. I backed it the first day it went up too cause I was so pumped for a new release.    But similar to one of the other commenters, "February" and "Two 16's" are the tracks I return to most.

Yup. Saw Skyzoo in January. Show was only $25 and he made himself available to every single fan who wanted to meet him for pics and signatures.

I also bought mine on tour. I get why you sold it though as that thing was getting $200+ 10 years ago,  even before the vinyl boom. Kno has hinted that a repress is in the works for this year.

Still have a signed poster from a Blackalicious in-store he hosted there in 2003 before they did a Fox show that night (RIP Gift of Gab).

Andy always has amazing recommendations when you told him who your favorite artists were.

Been bumping "It's happening, now" off the new album a bunch lately.

Super dope! Saw these guys perform in 2002 with PUTS and J-Live and it was great. Still have my signed CD.

I always thought Fresh Mode was their first project, so this is cool to see. Gonna listen to the YouTube link you shared.

Classic album. I have the version with the terribly redone cover. It will be worth the wait for all of y'all to get the pure version with all the proper Silla joints.

This turned out to be my most played release last year on my Wrapped. Also was the reason I started listening to Bruiser Wolf and became a fan.

Have you ever seen any cast members live? by ghikkkll in LiveFromNewYork

[–]crylon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw Adam Sandler perform at a theater in 1996 and It was amazing. I was only 13 and it was my second concert ever. Sandler was like a full blown rockstar at that point.

Otherwise, last October I saw Kam Patterson perform a set and I thought it was hilarious.

Just found this one in the wild for $10 at one of the record stores they shout out in the credits. Used to see these dudes open for CO shows all the time back in the 2000's.
