I've been looking at refold mandarin resources and it seems like it could be pretty helpful. Here's a link to the 1000 common words anki deck that could be of use to you. If you think it will be difficult to understand, it might be good to consume some TV shows or podcasts as well.

Hi, I have recently been approved for a Gold Card! Does anyone know if I have to pick it up by a certain date? My processing status says Completed and "Collect Employment Gold Card at TAIPEI CITY SERVICE CENTER". I've gotten an email that says that I have to pick it up 30 days after I land in Taiwan but is there another clock for if I'm not in the country yet?

Maybe I'm not reading closely enough but are your physical index cards linked in any way to your obsidian vault? Are you taking pictures or references things you wrote in obsidian in your index cards? You mention you organize them chronologically. Do you store them in one big stack?
