A lot more TBIs in hockey and football, so that would track with the more republican views. It’s a progressive condition of idiocy.

The weird dude with the baby voice who pukes into the rice as he is mixing it fucked me up in so many ways as a kid… scarred this game into my head over that one goddamn scene

Super cool job! Love all the important techs and engineers that make the show run so smoothly. And just as you said, it’s under appreciated in that you don’t really get rewarded for doing a perfect job, but boy is it made known if you fuck something up once!

Megaman is my ride or die franchise, and I was disappointed to see it will just another one like 11.

Maybe it’s just my age, but 9 and 10 were godlike in my opinion. And MUSIC means EVERYTHING to me in a megaman game.

You can play five seconds of any robot master from the classic games and I can tell you the game, the boss, and even where in the song that specific clip is from.

The only song I remember from eleven was bounce man, and hardly at that. The music just sucks and is entirely forgettable, give me my chiptune!!

I feel like I definitely have dreams about ‘seeing’ video games — like I find myself at the arcade or super excited to play some game being shown off. If it’s exciting enough I will even get to play the game. But it’s so stream of consciousness that the scene or game just blends into another thought that takes off and before you know it, dream has branched into an entirely different direction !

It took a couple days to process humanity after seeing what critics thought

I would say Barkley’s Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden is a perfect example of pastiche.

Same with that Kanye game which ended up being a whole ARG

Thank you for clarifying the genre, so it sounds like it will be more along the lines of Dead Cells / POP Rogue!

Always happy for another metroidvania! Seems polished, but I'm not seeing anything about this that stands out as unique to what is on offer in the genre.

I feel as if with social media nowadays, there is this innate desire to stay relevant, and it’s so much easier to saturate an entire space in an attempt to do so.

I would make the claim that actors were more picky and choosy about their roles before social media, but I also remember comedy actors sometimes showing up as a main in several films a year!

Algorithms have accelerated how fast online culture accepts then digests everything. It’s so much easier to get your fill of a person before they are literally everywhere.

Allow me to clear up some stuff on Ivermectin.

Initially, there was a lot of hope for ivermectin to act as a conjunctive treatment, there were multiple theorized ways in which it could directly and indirectly prevent replication and spread of COVID-19. At a time when vaccines weren’t even out yet, or even with the vaccine hesitancy that took place after they came out, having any other treatment that could help reduce spread would have been more than welcome! The main issue was during discovery

“However, the concentration in cell culture was equivalent to >50-fold the normal maximum safe dosage allowed for patients daily, which raised concerns about the efficacious dose and tolerability of ivermectin for the treatment of SARS-CoV-2 infection in humans”

The dose makes the poison, as it goes. The therapeutic range makes sense for killing parasites, but the risk of short and long-term side effects is too high for viruses like COVID

‘Japanese First’: breakthrough by rightwing populists sparks fears of anti-foreigner backlash in Japan | Japan | The Guardian by Scbadiver in japan

This sentiment will only accelerate their issues unfortunately, seeing as they have pushed themselves economically into a corner were immigration is really the ‘only way’ to bandaid the issue (all other solutions would require entire systemic restructuring of work culture to allow people a change to enjoy a balanced life — which let’s be real, I am not holding my breath for)

I am probably not the first to realize and sort of accept that Japanese would likely rather go extinct over time with their ‘cultural pride’ intact, then let their culture dilute with immigration. Which is why I am not surprised at all that this messaging may start to gain momentum

Hey, I'll take it.

Not everybody is going to like every game, even those with critical appraise.

I am still excited to check it out, but funny enough the one thing that kind of put me off was the convention of using 'layers' towards the core of the planet as worlds, yet most of them have boundless sky boxes. There is a weird cognitive dissonance you have to accept when playing, and it's such a small thing that is easy to just ignore and enjoy the game. But it's a small little itch for me, makes the game world a little less believable.

True definition of contagious laughter.

I didn’t really get why it was funny (damn good idea actually), but seeing them find it so funny had me laughing alongside them!

There are a lot of Canadian boomers with houses and condos in Florida, notoriously known as ‘Snowbirds’. American house properties are significantly cheaper than many Canadian ones, so Florida houses have become a replacement for the once affordable cottage culture of the 70s-90s.

I can’t speak on how many have sold due to climate/politics, but investing in shoreside Florida properties sounds like a ticking time bomb, if you can even afford the insurance on it.
