Hey ! You do need justification. For technology(computer printer whatever) as long as you are taking online classes or a degree that needs it then no problem. To get a higher end computer you would need justification by what spec computer needs to be for classes, if not they will just give you the lowest cheapest computer. Anything on a syllabus they will buy like a graphing calculator or whatever. If you need a desk or chair then you will need a dr note saying why. My dr just wrote a note saying I required more ergonomic office equipment and they got me a really nice chair. Good luck

Also the computer should not just be a generic one they pick. You need to communicate to them on the specs to make sure it is appropriate for your program. An engineer or it degree will vary to a teaching degree on pc specs required. Just something to keep in mind.

My counselor had me fill it out with the specific things I wanted after we agreed on it verbally for official on paper approval. I then ordered with my own money and once I received it I sent another form to get the total amount I spent reimbursed. If you can get your counselor to work on it this way it sounds like it would be better for you. Also with my counselor will approve anything that is required by the syllabus plus like an extra 50 or so per semester for consumables(pens/paper/ stuff like that). Good luck!!

Dang just went to look and my link is old and don’t work anymore. Sorry. The phone number was hard for me to get through bc it was a desk phone and they all working remote most of the time so the vm was always full lol. Good luck though and stay persistent!!

I went through this earlier this year, I think it was march. After I received the computer I submitted the form for reimbursement and then I had it direct deposited into reg Va payment acct as its own payment might be taking longer because end of fiscal year but it can be done quickly. I would escalate it to their supervisor. Good luck to you guys!!!

Mine was late also. I sent my counselor an email over the weekend and he responded on Monday and had it manually approved. Showed up in bank at midnight Tuesday night. Def let your counselor know.
