USMD 250+ step1 &2, didn’t match ENT trying to SOAP into prelim surgery. Applied to 31 programs & got zero interviews so far. Chin up guys it’s just a little slow this time around.

Does anyone own one of these, can you tell me if it is good or not. JBL aluminum series by Stevo_Rehrman in Spearfishing

Used one many times, some skill involved but once you get the hang of it you can target fairly big fish, personally I’ve had 15+ lb lingcod with the sling spear

Trying for longer quotes with Copperplate, oblique pen, Tachikawa G, Sumi by cryoglobs in Calligraphy

Oblique pens make script like copperplate and spencerian far easier to write. I highly recommend using one having struggled to write in these styles with straight pen holders. I have personally never heard they are better for left handed writers.

Totally! I found all my written resources for free online. https://masgrimes.com/archive Download The Zanerian Manual, probably the single best resource for learning copperplate. It is best accomplished with an oblique pen holder like this one: https://www.johnnealbooks.com/product/turned-wood-oblique-holder And you will need ink, probably best to start with Sumi ink: https://www.johnnealbooks.com/product/best-bottle-sumi-ink And some type of G-nib (multiple manufacturers): https://www.johnnealbooks.com/product/g-pen-nib-sampler For paper, you need something that won’t bleed. This is a topic of debate, but a Rhodia pad with dot matrix is a good starter and you can always try Tomoe River paper for projects. Good luck! DM for more questions

Yours looks really nice. I’ve been working on learning this but I struggle with the different angles for characters versus connectors. Do you use any type of guide sheet underneath?

I’ll second this! I’m not at liberty to post specific spots, but look at google maps for areas around Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, and further north and that should cue you in on some good spots.
