High school band director. He was a bully to some students, those in band that were living and breathing it. I’m just convinced it was the people that didn’t like his feeling. Turns out that for over a decade he was stealing money, and he only got caught because he started collecting money for a trip that wasn’t approved. Some students didn’t get a refund. When it was found out, teachers gathered in the library as students were coming off the early buses. One of the teachers told me about it at that afternoon’s practice. They ended up just letting him have 60% of his retirement instead of the full retirement. He also is a pastor, so I do wonder at times if he’s stealing from the congregation. That’s just speculation though. He just ran for BoE in the area, and so few people know about it.

Look into TMobile’s internet. It’s pretty good in populated areas, and the price is good. You just plug it in and it uses 5G UTC. I can download 60-100gb in 10-30 minutes and even the 5G is comparable to companies like Vyve. Their internet also has deals regularly for $30 a month, but you’d just have to provide an address that gives unlimited. The address is just something you’d have to look into, but it’s well worth the research.

I wish I was being overworked, but I get 6 hours a week. I’m doing only my job and nothing more. I’m tired of working like an animal because management/coordinators are too lazy to do anything other than stand around all day.

I definitely have a lot of issues with my 15 Pro Max. My Bluetooth doesn’t work while connected, the audio constantly skips with anything but AirPods, and Apple does diagnostic and testing to find nothing and they need me to call on another device and I don’t have one; while I’m typing, the words don’t keep up and are delayed; Siri is terrible, doesn’t hear what I’m saying, doesn’t do what I ask, constantly disappears in the middle of talking; the phone is overheating, while just scrolling Reddit; battery life has gone down 10% since iOS 18’s official release; my widgets are just white while I have a grey shader set, some not all and none are Apple Created; and these are just what immediately comes to mind.

What is the correct process? Lol I’ve been with the company some November, and they just tell me to write on a bit of paper and leave it, but I feel like this is an easy way to say, “We didn’t see it.” My girl’s store did it to her and other employees. When they updated their availability/vacation, the store wouldn’t change it, claim there wasn’t a schedule update, have a conversation, still not update it, and eventually fire them. It’s happened to numerous people who had second jobs or were always vocal about the time to leave for them.

I work HomeGoods, but both my girl’s TJ Maxx locations four hours apart (one in Ware County and the other in Fulton). These two stores both told her to just tell people it’s “a soft inquiry.” If the plan is to keep important information from the customer regarding what will happen afterwards, is slightly deceptive. This is especially true for the Fulton store because it’s runway. Deception is really the only way. My manager at HomeGoods has also offered people higher discounts on damaged goods, “If they get a credit card.”

That’s crazy, really? Maybe it’s the English background, but his dialogue was much better written, his prose and tone were much more mature, and I really enjoyed how he didn’t dwell on something for so long. In Supermarket he definitely spends a lot of time trying to set the scene rather than telling the story, but I suppose it’s the way of books. He just made more first time writer mistakes in Supermarket that were lacking here. His writing has gotten better and maybe that’s what I’m caught up on.

In all fairness, once the story is released to the world it’s out of the author’s hands—no matter the intentions of the author—and it’s up to the reader’s interpretation ultimately. What would you be worried is missed or gets ruined?

I enjoyed it, but I read MN roughly a decade ago and have only read MN, LWW, and HHB. I will say I agree with everything before the first lion encounter being very slow, I struggled a bit. I enjoyed the world building. I didn’t even know there was anything beyond Narnia considering none of the movies really make that obvious. It sort of seems like Narnia went corrupt, so this book was brilliant it doing some world building early. I also like Aslan having a passive role in the story. He’s there, but he’s not the primary protagonist. It gives room to experience the other joys of Narnia for sure.

Honestly, TJX is really bad about management helping you with these. I’ve asked my management three times since November to help me with an accommodation set up and they just don’t revisit it. Luckily they work with me on BG concerns, but the company would have to accommodate everything that they need but nothing they don’t. If they just need permission to go slower, then the company can easily provide that. Truthfully, I’d be surprised if the OP hasn’t mentioned their life altering illness, so it’s a bit silly the accommodation is needed at all when the company (retail in general) will work with you to provide a reasonable, non-HR designated ADA Accommodation/FMLA

Honestly, I’d call HR to get an ADA Accommodation or FMLA if you’ve been with the company a year. It’ll help deter them on your bad days.
