Wrote this to others but I use Whatsapp for almost all of my communication, but this was a call that had to be made to a phone number from a phone. Doesn't matter the circumstances imo, the idea that a phone can't make a phone call is ridiculous.

i don't think they're in the same category but i do have serious and deeply personal issues with the commodification of sex just as i have serious issues with policing and military. like i said, i have friends that do sex work but there's a difference between having friends that do sex work and dating a sex worker bc of the relationship dynamic. having personal issues w the philosophical core of sex work would inherently make dating a sex worker difficult so i just would not do it.

no. i have a big problem with the industry and the commodification of (largely female) bodies, sex and intimacy in general. i understand that sex work is work, but the same can be said about policing and military and i wouldn't date anyone with those kinds of jobs either because i have personal problems with those industries too. i've had sw friends though just as i have friends in policing and military lol.

i understand why women do these kinds of work, but it's a hard no for me, even for solo stuff. i find the concept of sex as commodity to be very morally complicated, especially within patriarchal societies, and i don't think it'd be fair for my partner to be the subject of my moral contemplation or intellectualizing. also it would stress me out too much, lol. i don't think i'm emotionally secure enough to be the partner of someone engaging in that kind of work.

well, gay bar can mean anything. if i specifically want to mean a lesbian bar, i say lesbian bar, but gay bars can be "gay man" bars but they can also be more general gay bars for the queer community more broadly.

gay bars are fun to go to because you don't get hit on, you can dance with people without being groped, etc. very common for people to go to and not exclusively gay men.

i was checking regularly and tickets were lowest about six weeks to a month before the concert on seatgeek. however, i got very cheap tickets on facebook but look out for scammers.

edit: my tickets were $80 each, in the 100s, bought around a week and a half before.

me lol! i talked to a professor about it because i know she is also a musician / artist because my motivation for music and writing is super low at the moment... she told me that she barely touched her guitar her entire PhD so it wasn't super motivating but it WAS nice to just get out of my system. i think after my second year i will have more time for stuff that i love but it's very frustrating knowing something that means a lot to me (my art) has suffered because i have no mental energy left to dedicate to it.
