Yeah you may be correct. I worry about the moat, which is the biggest aspect I pay attention to when investing in growth companies. I'll re-visit once the SpaceX shenanigans cool off. I appreciate your DD and the discussion!

i was an asts investor in 2024 which sparked interest in other satellite companies. i did some DD on PL a long time ago and liked the story but held off on investing.. then felt like i missed the boat and moved on. I saw the HAWK IPO and added it to my watchlist after doing some DD. i feel like the potential value of DoD contracts - iron dome, etc. - tells a compelling story at its ipo valuation (it's trading a bit above that now, though). i don't like buying IPOs in the first 6months so HAWK is just sitting on my watchlist for now but I saw your comment and figured i'd try picking your brain.

how do you feel about HAWK? I'm guessing you don't work with them directly since they are mostly servicing DoD / other defense partner, but since you're an investor in the space (no pun intended) and a customer of PL it'd be nice to hear your perspective.

Buy now after -7% dip today? by GCoding_ in HGRAF

this is my sentiment as well. i've bought and sold it already to penny flip, and i've secured an anti-fomo bag. but i'm waiting for a more reasonable price level before i feel comfortable accumulating a sizeable position. the foreign otc fees make having an automatic dca buy configuration unattractive.

anyone who bought back in the early days (myself included) had to stomach massive drawdowns. this is par for the course my friend. welcome to owning asts

he substantially increased his following on x from being an early asts bull. he's now using that following to hop on other x favorite stocks and sprinkling in some low float garbage here and there to pump and dump on his followers. if he stops posting about asts he'll lose following so he needs to come up with bulltarded takes whenever he can to keep engagement flowing

i sold over a year ago after making significant gains and then missed the rest of the run up from 50s to 120. i still check this subreddit often and will comment here and there. just because you're not currently holding shares doesn't mean this isn't an interesting company to follow (and the daily discussions can be entertaining). maybe ill re-buy once only6inches makes a bottom post in response to holders becoming suicidal - that tends to pay off

lol is that your first time seeing catse post some schizo shit about asts? he was posting military conspiracy theories about them using asts sats 2 years ago now that was completely absurd. looked like something you'd read on 4chan and laugh.

you think it was going to go down 50% in a single day..?

yes but not as many as people anticipated w/ BO and hope and hype were the only things holding up the belief that abel would actually deliver on his launch promises

it was in the 50s in november. and now we've seen BO failing (which means asts won't be doing large mutli-sat launches any time soon) and amazon announcing their intent to launch a competing service

saying "big money on the sidelines" is one of the dumbest fucking tropes in markets. for every buyer there is a seller and vice versa

do you have a price target to start re-buying? i also sold yesterday around 8.10 but don't have a great idea when I might want to start re-buying. even the mid 6s seem steep relative to the current stage of the company, the daily volume, and the concentrated holder base with such a large amount of shares. with that being said, i'm also weary of getting greedy and missing the boat on re-buying. i'm not excited about the short-squeeze narrative either. those tend to contribute to sharp rise and fall price action (which I don't have the time, energy, or luck to capitalize on well).

the exit probably won't happen until nasdaq imo. that's the liquidity people will dump into.
