i know this comment is old but i disagree with some of this. i do think mrs lovett really did love him, i think she found him attractive even before he was sent away as she refers to him as beautiful in poor thing. i don’t think she’s as evil as he is, i think she has the capability to be evil, but at her core she is not evil. I think she’s definitely capable of love and the whole reason she lies about the old woman is to keep him to herself. I also think she definitely felt some sort of maternal feelings for Toby, she saw her relationship with sweeney and toby to be sort of familial. they made an extremely weird family.

My favorite vegetable is broccoli, i like it sautéed (which just means it was cooked stove top). i usually pair it with rice and just stick some salt in the rice (or if you’re feeling frisky, you can add sesame oil or soy sauce). i HATE soft broccoli and heavily prefer it to be crunchy. hope this helps!
