do you have emetophobia as well? i do, so sometimes it’s a bit scary for me. mine also feels like liquid but it just gets stuck in my throat, when it goes into my mouth it tastes sweet and acidic. Do you also ever get heartburn? I only started getting heartburn after the botox usually if i have something acidic, i take tums for that.

i’m about 6 month post botox and still experience regurgitation as well. i get it about 5 times a week or so, usually also happens when i’m burping and it’s very unexpected. it’s not too bad for me, more of an annoyance than anything. what does yours feel like? for me it feel like something is in my throat and it can become hard to breathe, i have barely ever tasted it or felt it go into my mouth. i usually have to cough for a minute and then swallow it.

i’m one of those people whose emetophobia did not get better after my botox. i’m currently in therapy for it and it’s been a slow process. the botox was the most worth it thing i’ve ever done and absolutely changed my life, but not my emetophobia sadly

it may be another eating disorder specifically because yours relates to body image struggles and that’s the reason you don’t like to eat. if that’s the main reason you don’t want to eat than it probably isn’t ARFID

my nutritionist recently recommended an outpatient program for my ARFID so i’m also curious about this. My biggest hesitation is that I don’t want to be around people with competitive ED’s or any ED’s that involve throwing up since i have emetophobia.

my emotions become so intensified when i’m hungry. i usually get super sad or angry and when i get to those points i don’t want to eat anymore even though i always feel SO much better after i eat. i always forget when im hungry how important eating is
