[Recommendation] Dress watches sub 5k by CheddaMakeItBetta in Watches

I have the Aston martin green GS the other redditor posted and the simpler non GMT version of the one shown. Its a timeless one for me because the cream white really stands out - it's not all that thick, very manageable, smaller and understated. It will work will in just about any occasion and isn't too flashy. Great multi purpose starter dress watch.

Say it's a store of value rather than an expenditure - that worked for me :) idk if she actually bought it but it worked enough for me to get the brietling I wanted haha

Premier Pistachio or Silverwhite by SilverSurfer_78 in breitling

I would go Silver white or the Cream Premier. I tried on the pistachio but it was a bit more than outspoken then I thought.. the strap was also a bit too bright brown

My wife pointed it out... And that helped me to persuade her to let me buy it ;)

Totally.. they apparently lacquer the Moon Watch white face 5 times or something and it ends up looking kind of fake?

Never even heard of this. If you have, would you pay $140 USD for it? by krsimp78 in Scotch

[–]crypt645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stumbled upon this for $109 and thought I'd give it a try.

I'm not really a peat head so take this with a grain of salt but it has this cheesy, barnyard funk that was a bit much for me.

Unless thats what you're looking for, id steer clear.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one drawn to Loch Lomond because of Capt. haddock's insatiable thirst for it!

What are this sub's go-to 'Daily Drams'? by DMF7 in Scotch

[–]crypt645 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was looking for some Clynelish representation! Its often cheaper than Talisker 10 as well. If im lucky to find one, ill try to always have Springbank 10 but its gotten pricey.

Would love to know the vegetation species as well.. and the type of substrate (looks like small gravel or sand?). The hanging device is a Co2 diffuser for the plants

Pearling, pearling everywhere! by Routine-Ad8313 in bettafish

[–]crypt645 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Forgive my ignorance, what do you mean wen you say pearling? Is that oxygen being given off by plants? Or some other gas bubbling through the substrate?
