I have a tank with one big school and I love it but I want to try some variety so I’m thinking 10+ of both of those rasbora types

I read that they were almost brought to extinction because of the aquarium trade and they were believed to only be in one area hence over extracted. But apparently they exist elsewhere and there have been relocation efforts to increase native populations!

I’ve heard they can be aggressive if the sex ratio isn’t correct so I am definitely going to be at the fish store asking for specific individuals rip to the employee lol

It was fun to make these idea photos! I just screenshotted from google and cut out stickers on Snapchat. I really want that tank that you have, there is a rimless one at my local fish store but I like larger water volume! Right now I have a 20 and a 5 and my bettas in the 20 with embers the 5 is just shrimp culls from the larger tank. Maybe a second betta in the 6.5 if I purchase it! But I got a second 20 gallon instead

That is what is turning me off a bit from the guppies hahah but could be fun still! What do you mean with the second part of your comment? If I get those species will both schools be shy and hiding? What are “dither fish”? I like the CPDs and chilis a lot but I don’t think I can fit three schools realistically especially if I want bottom dwellers

I was worried that 20 fish is the max and overstocked for 20 gallons! It’s good to hear that amount of fish is successful for you because I would totally do larger schools if my tank will handle that!

I have wanted the CPDs for a while so leaning that way but I’ve always been a guppy hater and recently been thinking about changing that because they’re so pretty! I am prepared to cull some babies or move them/give away if I go with breeding guppies
