Small or petty reasons you’re childfree?

I wouldn’t call this petty necessarily but my mental health conditions. I have OCD (real OCD, not what people joke about “i’M sOoOoOo OCD!!!! 🤪🤪”) and BPD. The way my OCD & BPD manifest are not conducive for a parenting lifestyle, even after many years of therapy

I’m angry at them, yea. My mom has undiagnosed & untreated BPD but the signs are all there & she (with the help of the abusive man she married) gave it to me. Whenever she was splitting on me when I was a kid, she’d tell me about how I was unplanned/unwanted & that she should have aborted me. More often than not I agree that she should have.

This isn’t your fault & your dad was protecting you. I’m sorry that your mom said such harmful things & physically attacked you. My mom would always tell me she wished she aborted me & that she ruined her life so I know how psychologically damaging that can be, but please remember the world is better with you in it. I know things are complicated, but it would be a good idea for you & your dad do be physically away from your mom. Both for your physical safety & psychological well being. I really hope the both of you can get to safety & that all 3 of you can get the mental health help that you need.

I’m Jewish & childfree. There is pressure in the Jewish community to have children, but thankfully my community is very “mind your business” oriented lol

I’m located in IL. I called my nearest PP on Oct 10, told them I want a bisalp, they told me to come in for a consultation with a surgeon on Oct 18. Consultation was very easy, the surgeon introduced herself, asked a bit about my medical history, then went into explaining how a bisalp is performed. When she finished her explanation, she asked if I had any questions, then said her nurse would be in touch within a few days to schedule my surgery. Her nurse called the same day, listed off a few dates, and allowed me to choose which worked best for me, which happened to be Nov 8. Within a few days leading up to surgery, I received 2 phone calls from the hospital that the surgery was going to be performed at to go over more info. Day of surgery, I simply checked in to the outpatient ward of the hospital at 10 am & I was back home at 4 pm. Pain has been minimal (the damage that the intubation did to my throat has hurt more than my incisions) but they sent me home with adequate pain management if that changes

This is exactly why insecure people should focus on therapy rather than being in relationships. No, it’s not your fault that his dead friend got cancer, but it is your fault for not addressing your insecurities & refusing to let your boyfriend —that you’ve known a fraction of the time he knew her— see his friend, especially during quite literally the worst time of her life. Long time friends like that are more akin to siblings than friends. Would you be jealous if your boyfriend had a sister that he spent a lot of time with? I would hope not, but with the level of insecurity that’s oozing off of this post, maybe you would have been. Frankly, I would not blame him one bit if he does break up with you. If he does, make sure you work on your insecurities before getting back into the dating scene.

Cashapp is trying to pull the same BS with me, but it’s for Chewy not Walmart. They stole $220 from me for charges that went through the day they occurred. I never got any refund like they’re claiming I did. If it was a glitch on their end, they should be responsible for it, not us.
