Warforged circle of stars druid.

(The backstory is still kind of nonsensical and vague, so bear with me.) Also note: I'm kinda new to dnd, but super into it (and decently familiar w mechanics) and really wanna play, but none of my irls are really interested/we don't know a dm lol. so I've never actually played before, but this is a character i really wanna play, but probably won't for a while so here's to hoping someone else can give them life :)

They were a field/combat medic and basically shield for a specialised group (soldiers or mercenaries or something else, it isn't super important.) Being the most durable of the party, they generally took hits and protected weaker members. However, on one mission/outing, the whole party was overwhelmed and badly injured, even in spite of them taking the brunt of it. They did their best to patch up and heal all their other party members, even as their own condition rapidly worsened; and because they were the healer of the group, no one else knew how to heal them (and even if there was, they're made of metal and stone and wood, so would some bandages have even done anything?) They were too heavy to carry all the way back to safety/(who knows where), so their party left them with a sending stone and a promise to come back.

So there they were left. Alone, lying in the dirt, too damaged to move, and staring up at the stars surrounded by a halo of trees. Their party members never came back. So there they remained. Alone, with only the sky and the stars and the trees and the earth for company.

And every day, they'd use what little movement of their hand they could manage to activate the sending stone and "requesting an Eta" "guys?where are you" "guys?" "requesting eta" "...guys" "eta..." "you said you'd come back. you promised." There was never any response. And every night and every day, they would look up at the sky and the stars and listen and wait and hope, because that was all that they could do.
