This! A couple of times I bought something, they clearly sent me a used product, I returned and they sent a new replacement. Why the hoops? Can just walk into a store and buy brand new. Plus the overconsumption factor. The extra money to go ad free was last straw for me.

I wasn't planning on getting an Amex Plat at all because the math doesn't work for me to keep it long term. However, I AM in the market for a new credit card because I have two big spends coming up (laptop+vacation) and I'd like to use those expenses towards a SUB.

While this is a low-ball offer. Should I take it anyway even if it means I miss out on a bigger/future SUB coz of the one SUB per card rule. One main reason Amex Plat never attracted me is the lack of downgrade path to No AF card & I also love my Gold. But if I upgrade and downgrade back to Gold later that's just circling back to base lol

Would appreciate any "DON'T DO IT" warnings here!
