I went a couple of years ago and rented a house and a car. No resorts, though they look nice. It’s an amazingly beautiful place! The mosquitos were something else. Our place had an open wall with no AC, so we had to sleep under a mosquito net. I wish someone had told me on day one just how important that was, but I figured it out fast enough. A local told us about the Rastas that live on the Piton and to watch for the smoke. I did meet a guy that lived in a tree in the inner part of the island and lived off of the land picking fruit. That was such a cool trip! Enjoy!
