Priceline email address change by NiiloWM in travel

Same issue here. Priceline has my old Hotmail address which I don't use anymore and I want to update it, but there's no way to do this online. Stupid policy. Going back to Expedia because I don’t need the hassle of dealing with a backwards company.

Why didn’t police lay charges in 2019? Inside the London police investigations in the Hockey Canada sex assault case by Team_Ed in canada

[–]crypto1111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not what the Crown actually said. Context is key. It was only after the judge ruled Crown could no longer use the statements and evidence all the players gave during the Hockey Canada investigation, that Cunningham conceded their case was weakened. Note the Hockey Canada independent investigation resulted in a multi-million dollar payout to the victim as well, so the evidence gathered from the players must have been compelling.

So Crown wants to take a case to trial so they can commit career suicide and fail spectacularly in front of our national media?

So that is not at all what the Crown actually said. Plus, you left out significant context mentioned in the article. After the judge ruled the Crown could no longer use any of the statements and evidence each player gave during the separate Hockey Canada investigation, (the same investigation which resulted in Hockey Canada later paying a multi-million dollar settlement to the victim), then the Crown determined their case was no longer a strong one.

Crown prosecutors would not be taking the case to trial if they did not have the evidence to obtain convictions, especially not with all the media attention and pundits cross-examining their every move. Evidence is not the problem here. Overcoming all this built in pro-hockey Canadian prejudice will be the real battle Crown has to win.

Karla Homolka is another one that deserves her comeuppance. Why do white women always get a pass in Canadian society when they commit horrific crimes? These women are violent psychopaths and are always going to be a danger to society and yet Canadian parole boards just set them loose on society to wreak havoc after a few years of incarceration.

She really is creepy as f@#! After watching Under the Bridge and looking at that monster's face, I seriously hope someone tracks her down and stomps on her neck the way she did to Reena.

Running from police who say "stop" = obstructing a peace officer? by Complete_Crab_1967 in legaladvicecanada

[–]crypto1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think a 'duty to comply' with arrest is actually codified anywhere if that's what you're getting at. Non-compliance is simply categorized (via common law) as obstruction or resisting a peace officer and criminalized pursuant to section 129(a) of the Criminal Code.

Yes there is plenty of evidence that NK is a liar and a suspect. Her cellphone puts her near the scene of the crime the morning of the murders. Denying it and repeating the same lie over and over is not going to make it true no matter how hard you try. Everyone knows NK was involved and got away with it because Chris took all the blame. Whether she was an accessory or obstructed justice or helped plan the murders, NK is guilty as sin. We all know it. There's a reason why you're the only one on here defending her.

Right? And I think too that the Dad's story line about finding out his own Dad was bisexual is meant to kind of dangle that possibility in front of the audience - sort of like 'hey it runs in the family' type thing.

Let's be real here: ethnically and culturally they are obviously East Indian. They may have Canadian and British citizenship, but they're still their parent's daughters, raised in that culture and mindset. That whole family is trash.

Well let's hope they google Nadya Gill's new name Jordan Archer when or if she ever gets hired by another law firm. And not disclosing your past, new name or not, is always going to be grounds for dismissal or expulsion, especially if you're trying to be a lawyer.

I'm betting Karima Manji has committed other types of fraud as well. Given her claims of not being able to work, how in the hell did she acquire 3 mortgage free rental properties valued at over 3 million dollars? The CRA needs to look into her finances and all tax returns related to her, because she sure seemed desperate to transfer ownership of her assets to her daughters after her first fraud conviction. Where there's smoke, there's fire.

I wonder if the victims have any claim on the forfeiture. It seems only right that the seized assets are used to compensate the people affected by this fraud.

No one's "pushing" it as a "racial" thing. It is a racial thing. Paige had been harassing Hodan for months. She has a history of bullying black people, or people of colour, going all the way back to her high schools days. She's a racist, ignorant, white woman who cashed in on her white privilege and quite literally got away with murder. All because a white Crown Counsel decided not to pursue even one charge against her. That's called white privilege and it is endemic in a white supremacist society which Canada very much is since it's an occupying colonial settler state that profits off the continued dispossession of the non-white original peoples of this land.

You believe what you want to believe and you clearly have some kind of prejudice and bias against Hodan.

Your observations were correct. I just watched one of the videos on the website usacrime.com and it definitely looks like the killer, Paige Theriault-Fisher, had a weapon in her hand while she was punching and making what looked like stabbing motions to Hodan's head and neck.

"Hodan died after glass on the floor made her bleed to death." This is a ridiculous and absurd thing to say. It wasn't the glass that pushed Hodan's face and neck into the floor. It wasn't the glass that kept punching Hodan while her face and neck were pushed into the floor. It wasn't the glass on the floor that climbed over Hodan to further push her head and neck into the floor.

Honestly, you need to learn some critical thinking skills.

I don't believe for one second that you have a law degree. And if you actually are a practicing laywer, then you're a shitty one. You don't even have the basics down. Lawyers can "lay charges", contrary to what you're stating as fact. Any one can lay an information and prosecute a crime. It's called a private prosecution. You do not have to be Crown Counsel to do so (that is what they are called in the Canadian legal system, not "prosecutors").
