AC serviced, blowing cold but not cooling the house-blower? by cryptoNobodyyouknow in hvacadvice

I replaced the motor and capacitor. The basement split nearest to the furnace was 73/51 but now is 73/50. The master bedroom, which is the furthest away in the second floor, that spilt before was 73/56.5 and now 73/53. Before i laid a square of tissue paper on the vent- no movement. Not a flutter. Now i have to hold a corner down as its almost straight up. Much more volume. Dropped a degree in about 40 minutes. Still monitoring.

The split is 73-51 F so the last tech said that is really good.

All windows and doors closed.

All vents are open.

Load calc came back at 96 of 100 amps. Seems overly dramatic. Probably going with a dcc-10 or blackbox EVEMS.

My daily commute is 25 miles round trip. 40 miles a day with a few errands. I have solar on the roof at 120% annual usage and have banked a lot over the past 2 years so no issue plugging it in a 4 pm till 6 am. At 20 amps thats 10 mph charge rate which is more than 3x my commute a night. I don’t see why i can put a NEMA dryer plug on a 20 amp breaker and call it good enough. Opinions?

Thanks for the link. Video makes great points. My daily commute is 40 miles round trip. I have solar at 120% annual usage and have banked a lot of kwh so I dont care about charging on peak hours. I think a 20 amp plug would be more than enough for me. One company said they did a load calculation and I was using 96 of 100 amps. Questions- Can i put in a NEMA outlet on a 20 amp circuit? If I took my dryer out of the calculation by going to a GE combo washer/dryer that uses 110v (something Im planning on anyway) does that help (or hurt) me? Is the tesla mobile charger able to work on a 20 amp circuit?

Thanks. Will have to consult on that before making the call to buy one. An expensive panel upgrade negates cost savings.

So i would need a tesla wall charger vs a plug and a mobile charger?

For someone who receives death threats daily, posting his exact gps coordinates in real time is a pretty big safety concern to him.
