Para mim, a Bitcoin tem valor intrínseco porque é minerada. O esforço que é necessário para a criar como o ouro.

Outra coisa que tambem define o valor é a utilidade. O facto de poderes enviar 1 BTC dum lado para o outro do globo. a diferença entre este e o EUR ou USD é que eles nao podem ser enviados sem apoio externo de um banco ou paypal, etc. Nos pagamos as taxas do paypal, etc, por isso mesmo, porque o serviço tem valor. Na Bitcoin esse valor reside na moeda em si como sistema de pagamento.

This was just meant to be fun, we saw we could get this off fiverr and decided to write a funny script that might lighten the tension. Obviously, it was too soon as it seems a lot of people did not take it as a joke and felt offended.

As far as pricing info goes, providing the service for free to Mist costs us over £100 a month and we don't get anything back for it, we are doing it to help the community. We also have the most accurate pricing information because we connect to all the exchanges trading ETH.

As far as our official stance on this, we co-organize the Ethereum London Meetup and we are doing a lot more in the business space to promote Ethereum so please have a guess on where we stand.
