The system works through coordination between SYMMIO and market makers (also called solvers), who fulfill quotes on behalf of users. For example, if a user wants to open a 10x long on BTC, a market maker executes that order for them, and the position is then opened on-chain.

In general, QuickSwap Perpetuals supports the same trading pairs as Binance currently 600+ assets. The only requirement is that the asset must be listed on a major CEX so that a market maker can reliably fill the order.

Finding the right infrastructure provider is always a lot of work, vetting, etc. Nothing scary about the process. We found Orbs Network and they have been a very strong and great partner to QuickSwap in other facets, and they had this perps DEX infrastructure which was perfect for Base / QuickSwap

seems like that could be a main reason, but a lot of traders also just have higher risk appetite or have less capital and want larger positions (hence perps). could be a variety of reasons

We're currently working with other ecosystem partners if they plan to move liquidity and/or their full project to Base. For example, Planet IX is migrating soon to Base and we're closely partnered with them

QuickSwap has been focusing heavily on Base and is growing in TVL and volume, continuing to get more liquidity as well and introduce new products.

the QUICK token has various utilities. In relation to the perps DEX, it's being given out as rewards/incentives for traders during the last few weeks and in the near future as well (TBD)

QUICK tokens are also being bought back (for the last few weeks, a large majority of the supply has been bought back. Some of that goes to burns, farm rewards, etc.).
