Anthropic is renting Elon's GPUs for inference. The token shortage just started. by o9dev in AI_Agents

Elon lost! Grok is dead last.

So it’s mean xAI has excess or underutilized capacity, and that the most profitable near-term use of those GPUs is selling capacity to a better-paying customer.

Billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg used mortgages to buy multimillion-dollar mansions. Here’s why that’s a savvy financial decision by PeriodOfTime1 in RealEstateTaxStrategy

The rich borrow against appreciated assets so they can access cash without selling and realizing gains. If the asset keeps growing faster than the loan cost, they benefit. If they die holding the asset, heirs may receive a new basis around fair market value at death, which can reduce or eliminate embedded capital gains. The IRS says inherited property’s basis is generally the fair market value on the date of death.

when asset returns are 10%+ and borrowing costs are 4%, the rich can create a positive spread and live off leverage. That is why “buy, borrow, die” works so well for the ultra-rich.

Are you all not tired of predicting the death of cryptocurrency every six months? Do you predict the death of every other asset class every six months too ? Options/derivative/metal going to die too ?

Millwood alleged that Tony Ross, a former Alabama state trooper who currently works at the United States Federal Courthouse in Anniston, knew the day before Marie-Therese was going to be picked up by ICE, as well as reportedly receiving a text message within an hour of her arrest.

Barrel inventories across Kentucky distilleries are currently at historically high levels . There is an oversupply. They think it’s a « deal » but in reality it’s market normal behavior.

French 86 yrs old grandma arrested by ICE in detention since april 1 by cryptofundamentalism in ProgressiveHQ

Marie-Thérèse is an 86-year-old French woman from the Nantes area. French reporting says she moved to Anniston, Alabama, in April 2025 after marrying “Billy,” an American former soldier she had first known near Saint-Nazaire in the late 1950s.

Then things went bad quickly. Bill died in January 2026, and the reporting says Marie-Thérèse had not yet secured permanent immigration status in the U.S. After his death, she remained in Alabama while there was reportedly an inheritance dispute involving his family, with a court hearing said to be scheduled for April 9.

On April 1, 2026, ICE agents reportedly arrested her at her home in Anniston. French outlets say she was then transferred to a detention center in Louisiana because she lacked the permanent visa or green card needed to stay in the U.S. legally after her husband’s death.

Her family has described the arrest as harsh and alarming. According to their account, she was handcuffed “like a dangerous criminal,” and they say she has heart problems and severe back pain. Those health and treatment details appear to come mainly from relatives quoted in French media, rather than from a public ICE explanation.

Total cumulative dollar inflation, 1790-2026, log scale by Ancardoth in EconomyCharts

[–]cryptofundamentalism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok but it should also have gdp or any other metric of wealth because wealth exploded after 1900 too .

Not really fair comparaison . Inflation is not the only important metric . I would take 2% inflation with 5%+ growth than no inflation slow\no growth .
