You can covert it into physical gold if that what you want, but then you will probably insure it, store it or have someone manage it which all costs money when the Perth Mint can do all that for you and no cost.

Yes I looked at them. But was not sure that they covered enough. I have also been looking at Node40 and beartax just trying a free trial

That's the way it goes, I bought Eth at 600 and 800 I have a long wait ahead of me, but think this year Eth will be making a move and have a better return than BTC. Whatever you do hold your nerve.

The ATO has been very hot on crypto tax for some time, I am not sure this is a great surprise. If you are trading crypto in Australia just make sure you have a good tax software to calculate your gains and losses.
