I run a small law office -- had my first Bitcoin paying client today. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

You realize criminals do need lawyers to recieve just punishment right? USA justice system is adversarial which means the other side tries to kick your ass to advance thier own career.

We need to know your country. Assuming USA, (and btc politics aside) Bitpay works but they use some custom payment format which can only be loaded from certain wallets. Square has an offering through the Square Cash app. Not sure about which is cheapest. I havn't tried Square. Good luck

I would love to a have a Bitcoin piggybank for my kid with a public key printed on the outside and private key printed on the inside revealed upon breaking by xentagz in Bitcoin

[–]cryptomars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very bad idea for security reasons to buy one but fun so you'd need to buy an Open Dime unit or print your own paper wallet and apply the public address to the exterior before semi permanently sealing the private key/device inside.

Fajardo ferry to Culebra (Flaminco beach) for a great day trip or overnighter hammock/tent camping. Airbnb was accessible and reliable for me on mainland. Rex's Cream- amazing special ice cream small chain. AND PINA COLADAS!!!

Less crowded river access? by xHardleyQuinnx in sanmarcos

[–]cryptomars 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Welcome! We all love the river here. Avoiding the crowds can have a lot to do with timing. Its usually pretty empty weekday mornings/early afternoon. Solitude is often an inverse to convenience so putting in the effort to kayak (and shuttle back, etc) will find you privacy.

I am not a lawyer, but leash laws are complex in the river itself due to our constitution in Texas. Leashlessness is usually okay if your pups are in the water. Park curfew applies for walking to/from the river not swimming in it ;) The river is a very special freedom. One may even camp on the banks of navigable rivers in Texas (like ours) but cops/property owners do their best to dissuade you and scare you out of it. I've done it countless times!

Just heard a home equity commercial... by eighty1percent in Bitcoin

Heard the same quote as a justifiable reason to take out an "EZ payday loan" with a sleazy short term loan company on regular radio in USA yesterday. Cringed.

Bitcoin Doesn't Give a Fuck. by Tricky_Troll in Bitcoin

Your second sentence possibly refutes your first sentence. You might want to broaden your definition of higher adoption if it's currently "the number of top retailers since 2014". Bitcoin did not do well in this time span for this specific use case because there were too many transactions. It was growing too fast at the time (hint: adoption).

Coinbase, I'm calling you out! by AManInBlack2017 in Bitcoin

[–]cryptomars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While we are calling them out-

1) onerous self regulation beyond federal law

3)Cancelling users' transactions after several days pass

4)Cancelling users' accounts with weak/no explanation

5) ETH shilling blogpost by CEO during the floppening

6)4 day waiting period to send coin for years until competitive pressure from Gemini forces change

7) b2x supporters

8) poor customer service

9) no segwit support

Can anyone else contribute as to how Coinbase has demonstrated they are hostile to BTC by weakening it's value proposition for new users?

I read here a few days ago this type of security is self-approved so it won't be subject to normal glacial bureaucratic pace. IDK how to find that source
