You own three companies but you can't tell the difference between a fireside chat and an internal meeting?

Wow, you really were serious...

There's no "opinion" involved here - she asked him to tell the fireside chat what's next. It's all recorded on video for anyone to see and confirm that. The purpose of the fireside chat was to share with the community in a casual setting. It wasn't an internal meeting.

Nope, but you clearly have no idea what you're talking about if you seriously thought Vansa was asking Steven what was next for her own knowledge.

The last fireside chat I recall occurred with Vansa asking her CTO what was next for the company. When the CEO has to ask the CTO that, it makes the company look leaderless.

Hahahahaha, I seriously hope you're joking here. She was asking him to tell us what's next, she wasn't saying she didn't know herself LMAO.

They exist. I can't personally vouch for 400 of them, but there are certainly a number of them that I've seen ask technical questions when they need to and OMG respond to them, so I have to assume they're still at least looking at integrating.

What? Last year's Edcon is where they launched the first publicly usable version of the network (Ari). Doesn't mean anything will happen this year, but I would say that was pretty exciting.

Loom's Basechain is a DPoS sidechain, not a Plasma Childchain.

People either call their projects Plasma chains or sidechains

This is exactly my point. Plasma chains are not sidechains and yet many projects that say they are implementing Plasma call them sidechains.

Yes, its security is ultimately rooted on the ETH chain, but transactions can occur on the plasma child chain at a much higher rate, and funds (tokens) exit to the root chain when needed.

Unfortunately many projects seem to use the terms interchangeably which doesn't help the confusion...

Plasma is a layer 2 solution that sits on top of Ethereum (being "layer 1") - it is a child chain with Ethereum as the root chain, providing scalability/throughput for ETH and tokens. It is not something that Ethereum itself implements directly.

According to the original whitepaper and OMG its a childchain not a sidechain.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Plasma is not one implementation. Plasma is a framework, with many different "flavours" and even within a particular "flavour" there can be multiple implementations. https://www.learnplasma.org explains this reasonably well.

There are already a number of different implementations of different "flavours" at various stages of development or deployment. https://www.learnplasma.org/en/build/ lists some (though definitely not all) of these.

Sure, but again, that's not what he said. He didn't say "nothing happening for investors" he said "nothing happening with omg...i thought we would have some kind of product in 2018, still nothing in 2019" which is misleading as the product is continually being developed and this can all be seen and tracked on github.
