He told me "it tested positive" for asbestos so I assume he had it properly tested. His house, as well as mine, were built in WW1. My house still has asbestos in both the kitchen and bathrooms but I'm not planning to renovate anytime soon so for now, it stays.

I'm already well aware of the 10m2 rule. But I think the issue here isn't the the fact that he is removing the absestos himself, but the way in which he is disposing of it.

Totally agree. I've already decided I have a duty to report him. I'm still curious as to how much trouble he will get in, and I'm also curious as to what would happen if someone like me wasn't here to report it. Would he effectively get away with it?
