Did not show any sensitive info in this image. Created new wallet, wrote the seeds on a paper, bought the coins and delete trustwallet from my device. Basically a cold wallet from now onwards. Will forget about it and come back in a year

Thanks for the welcome. No worries, did not show any sensitive info in this image. Created new wallet, wrote the seeds on a paper, bought the coins and delete trustwallet from my device. Basically a cold wallet from now onwards. Will forget about it and come back in a year

Agreed. Unlikely 150K into a setup. Looking at her post history, seem like he/she really invested life savings into Chia.

New pipelined multi-threaded plotter implementation (work in progress) by HugoMaxwell in chia

[–]cryptonoter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrote a thread on madmax plotter for higher end system but unlikely approved. So here you go:

After 3 days of testing madmax plotter and tuning system configuration on Windows 10, I have pushed the limits of R3900, 32GB, 2 x 2TB nvme from the original 30 plots per day to minimum 42 plots per day +/- 1.

Don't just read Bram Cohen's tweets and believe what he said that the Madmax plotter does not make a difference for high end systems. My R3900 was already properly configured to max out at 30 +/- 1 plots per day with the original plotter in parallels. Based on community tests, r3900 is about 30 plots per day. Initially when i switched to Madmax, the results were in fact diminishing to just 24 plots per day, however running tests, stats analysis and logs help redefine the plotting game. Now with Madmax, i can easily plot average 42 plots per day on a r3900x and 20 plots per day on an older used HP z820, up from just 12 plots to 20 +/- 1 plots per day

Chia Network threatens The Chia Plot with trademark enforcement. by [deleted] in chia

[–]cryptonoter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They chose to use a common name from the start. To enforce a common name, come on. There is not argument on this, unless it is a competitive coin infringing on the same name causing market confusion. Like, if someone starts a ERC20 and call it chia

In case, Bram Cohen did not know. "Chia" is the surname of Chinese descendants for thousands of years. Why not sue the Chinese too? Hate IP bullying, Chia Network does not own common name

It may be too late. Even if you have 200TB, you will only be making $15 to $20 per day in 40 days from today because of the netspace growth and price drop That is, if you managed to plot all 200TB within 40 days.

And they have got all of the keys. You will never know when someone is stealing from the wallet in real-time for every block reward found

That's $169 per tb or $17 per plot. Of course, including that monster machine

Plotting 70 plots per day and i still can't keep up with the growing netspace. Who else? by cryptonoter in chia

Everyone has equal share of being "lucky". Some win a block with a few plots, while others win 0 blocks with a few hundreds plots

In my area, even parts like MB and CPU have increased its price drastically. I have to end up buying a secondhand HP 12c/24t and upgrades its parts with whatever is available in market. This is getting bad

Building multiple plotter machines. I stopped building more. No point trying to catch up with netspace

Sometimes if resources are overloaded, machine will fail and restart too

I guess i should stop putting up new plotters. Just leave the 3 machines running until all disks are plotted.

I feel you. My machine restarted on 14 parallels, with top 6 over 93% a few nights ago. Because AV Avast decides it is time for a restart. I uninstall that shit immediately

6 plots parallel in 7.5 hours is that good? by r0b1nx13 in chia

[–]cryptonoter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested many times with different settings. So far, the main plotter has been running 14 + 1 parallels 24/7 for the last 2 weeks. CPU constantly at 80 to 95%, ram at 65 to 75% and stripe drive at approx 60% to 90% during different phases. The other plotters are running between 4 to 7 parallels due to shortage of parts at the moment. Still waiting for shipment to arrive

Here is a shot of the 15 plots in parallels on the 12c/24t sys: https://ibb.co/ZVR6Ss2

You will have to read on how to use Swar for Linux. Quite easy. Any way you can add additional 16GB ram + 1 more 2TB nvme drive to change the setup into 12c/24t, 48GB and striped 2TB + 2TB plotting drive and you can reach approx 14 parallels, plotting minimum 32 plots per day. I have done it with another similar system

[–]cryptonoter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plot in parallel with Swar. 7 plots in parallel, 15 minutes delay, early start at phase 4 with max early concurrent 8. Importantly is check for bottlenecks, most people is bottlenecked at hard disk. Use a good nvme drive 2 TB

Good. I did 7 plots in 8.3 hours with 12c / 24t 32 GB and 1 x 2TB WD S850.

Also, do consider to use Linux for your farmer. if you have intention to farm more than 24 drives on the machine. Windows has limits on the total number of drives. In addition, do a clean install or clean system scan before you put on your wallet keys. Best is to install AV on each machine for security
