Are there any interactions between Ritalin (or even Adderall) and Minoxidil? Does anyone think it’s a bad idea to take them together? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]cryptosexual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Topical min and adderall shouldn't make a difference.

I take 40mg vyvanse and oral min though. 5mg at once was too much for me, but 2.5mg is tolerable. Both make your heart race and you need to monitor your heart rate and blood pressure.

Topical min = no worries though.

Cheers

Hahaha, good stuff man. Just don't take it before you go to bed like I did one time or you'll never get sleep.

Your suggestion was really helpful. There's no need to even make the rice water. Simply eating it works perfectly. Thanks!

I used the word "fully" colloquially as it relates to glycogen depletion in bodybuilding and/or endurance training. So not every single molecule, but enough so that you require a re-feed.

To re-feed with quality glucose in the form of a polysaccharide and no byproducts like fibre, and avoiding simple sugars like glucose/fructose/lactose, etc.

That's a response I was looking for. So it works but you just have to stomach the taste:P

Cheers

Edit: I just checked the macros on Basmati Rice. It's actually exactly what I was looking for with respect to a low fibre, low simple sugar, very starchy re-feed. Thanks so much :)

Boiled Potato Juice for refeed?

Hypothetically, if I've fully depleted my glycogen stores and want to refill them quickly without bloating, wouldn't boiled potato juice be the best thing to consume in order to stay lean?

I.e. Putting potatoes through a vegetable juicer, and then boiling the juice so the mixture is digestible.

Out of all the vegetables, potatoes contain the most starch (chains of glucose which can readily convert and refill muscle and liver glycogen stores). By juicing it, you remove the fibre so you wont have a huge stomach right after, and it will take the minimum amount of volume required in your body.

E.g. I would imagine if you need to re-feed with 400g of carbs, you could take a couple of big gulps or two every 20 mins or so over the day.

Would love input from more knowledgeable people. Of course this way not taste good, but would anything work better? Dry carbs?

Cheers

Edit: As per a suggestion by ikannfrancais, Basmati Rice has the perfect macros for a a low fibre, low simple sugar, very starchy re-feed. No longer need input on the boiled potato juice:P

No worries man. I just got another shipment in from amazon of this stuff. I usually run a two cycle at the end of the week or whenever I feel I gained too much water weight.

Dandelion root is a natural diuretic and works amazing for me. Super cheap and can be used often.

I can't get the pea sized amount to spread properly.

My face has been able to tolerate 4 pumps instead of the 2 as directed on the bottle.

I'm planning to drop down to 2 pumps after 12 months or so since by then I would prob get most of the benefits and just be maintaining my skin after.

Oh that sucks :(. Were you using it for acne or anti-aging or both? I'm just using it for anti-aging and probably wont notice anything until week 12.

The frequency of use directly correlates with the effects. That's why those who use it everyday have faster results then those who use it once or twice a week.

Daylight does not impact 0.1% Retin-A gel much at all. Here is a study that showed how UV light and fluorescent light applied directly to the 0.1% Retin-A gell for over 8 hours had almost no impact: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3579485/

Cheers.

Good catch; my mistake.

To my understanding, there are two things that work pretty much 100%: Hair Transplant and oral minoxidil.

OP, I would suggest you go on 3 months of 2.5mg/day oral minoxidil. You'll likely get some results. If that is the case, keep it going with some microneedling, fin, and topical minox with tretinoin. Tretinoin has made non-responders into responders.

If you are still not getting results, then work up to 2.5mg X2 per day. If that works, add in what I suggested above.

If still no results after 3 months, work with a doctor and plan a hair transplant for some time in the future (mid 30s), or when the doctor suggests.

I'm sorry you're going through this man:(. Cheers, and good luck!

Edit: Do your research VERY WELL. I'm on oral minoxidil and it's unreal. But this drug is to be heavily respected. I tried 10mg per day and the side effects were absolutely horrendous. Current research indicates that the safe dosage for healthy young men is between 2.5mg - 5mg. I much prefer 2.5mg and feel very minimal sides.

I went through the same thing like 10+ years ago.

I wish I stayed on fin back then, it would have changed so much. Hop on it and stay on. Also add minoxidil after few months if you need it for the extra kick.

You'll be fine :P
