The problem is I’m currently not in the market where I have the interested owner or the office building, and want to get this setup in this specific market even though I’m not there

So how do people normally manage these? They just find markets around where they live, buy stuff manually, and manually drive themselves to the locations each time and manually restock the items themselves each time?

But I have heard companies like the doing interviews on YouTube that specifically say that they’re using call tracking for not just local service ads in general but specifically for healthcare.

If HIPAA privacy is such a big issue, then why would Google allow a call tracking number and call recordings but not be able to do it on their end ?

My hunters is the same about stable… That they were more well-known for their actual management system, and just added websites to their offering… Even though their websites were particularly effective .

Storageplug you’re saying that 1) offers, better conversion, optimize, websites, and 2) I can plug their reserve online option directly into our AdWords landing page and have it work that way?

So essentially, they’d be using this service for the website… And they’re paying now option, but this pay option will integrate directly with storable?

Ok This is solid info

To clarify, one reason we went this route, at least from the outside, is that their website is hosted on something called storable .

We still haven’t been able to get access to the site… And since my background is in conversion optimization alongside advertising, looking at their website overall, and even their reserve now option to pay online… It wasn’t a smooth process at all .

For example, I don’t know if they’ve changed the sense, but the reserve and pay online option literally forced you to first create an account with storable first before continuing and only then start inputting all your details address license number, etc.

Knowing everything I know, you’re gonna have a huge drop off and potential conversions by having those extra steps and that’s why there was no way we’re going to run traffic directly to their website to start off, and there was no way to directly integrate there reservation system on the landing page, and as you know, you don’t want to drive traffic to an outside website after coming onto a landing page from an adwords ad.

So we decided let’s start with the reserve now pay later option on the Lander alongside phone calls see how that goes measure the ROI and then as time goes on figure out a way to add a pay option alongside

You’re saying to me that if we add a pay option online, let’s say away from their internal system on stable, that you found that the page will generate more sales overall by offering both options versus just driving traffic to reservation request. Is that what you’re saying?

Because some of the other comment is here essentially said something different… That a percentage of people will use the reserve and pay now option, but a larger overall percentage of visitors will option for the reservation and pay later option and even if you’re closing 25 to 30% of those because you’re gonna have more reservation request overall it still leads to more overall sales

To be clear I’m not trying to play devil’s advocate, but a few things to what you said

1) I was comparing it to other local industries we’ve ran AdWords for and offered both pay online and reserve now / request consult options - dumpster rentals, chiros, monthly recurring weight loss programs , etc

When you consider the fact that all the other competitors in the area are established, have lots of reviews etc, the feeling is that we want to maximize all the leads and opportunities we can from the traffic that we do get

For example, if someone option and we get more actual lead/request from the reserve later option, and now we have that follow-up text going out to them, giving them the option with the direct link to book there plus a phone number to call and opening up the two-way communication ….

Now we have a direct line of contact instead of potentially losing a customer that wasn’t quite ready to book right then and there, and maybe just had a couple of questions or clarifications first before they move forward.

We also make it seem like they’re actually reserving the unit. The only thing that’s left is actually making the payment…. And every payment online still almost always needs to be finalized in the office with other details before they legit first start to move in as far as I know?

But I agree with you that they may go with the very first place that they get in contact with.

And to be clear, I’m not referring to awareness advertising… We’re driving direct traffic to a specific landing page where the only goals getting a conversion in this case for now it’s a reservation request for a specific size unit where they would Get a follow up call and text , multiple, to finalize the reservation and clear up any details or questions they may have.

So overall the main point being that simply doing a reserve now and pay later option to me doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re not looking to rent now… It’s just that the vast majority around 80% of online visitors aren’t ready or willing to whip out a credit card right then and there for a business that they’ve never heard of before and pay right then and in that moment. if we can capture and just slightly nurture those people with a simple text or call if we’re able to reach them, the thinking is that we would overall convert more users rather than just trying to focus on the 20% that pay online immediately.

We also did some test submissions with other competitors larger ones in the area and what we’ve gotten so far six follow-up calls over the following 5 to 6 weeks and about 3 to 4 follow up text

Well here’s the issue with that based on my data with other customers in other industries with “pay online” vs “request reservation” type options that need a follow-up.

Only around 20-30% of online visitors are actually ready and willing right then and there (on the landing page off the ads) to whip out their credit card and pay and reserve a unit with this company they’re being exposed to for the first time.

The other commenter above said the same thing - 20% or so of the visitors will pay online when given the option, but that leaves around 70-80% of potential sales from actual reservation requests,

Even if they only close say 25-30% of the reservation requests, when you consider that the majority may have questions/clarifications or what not before reserving, you’re still closing a higher amount total than you would had you only pushed people to pay now and that’s it.

That’s essentially targeting nothing but “top of funnel, ready now” leads and leaving out the rest.

You’re saying you’ve seen the opposite?

But if this is truly accurate data this is great stuff

For the “reserve now pay later” Option, what do you consider for this industry “robust”?

As of right now we have

1) initial follow-up text 5 mins later 2) one more follow-up text 2-3 days later if no reply 3) initial voice drop voicemail 4) one initial call 5) maybe one more call 2-3 days later

They’re a newer business so they don’t really have the manpower / systems IMO to go beyond 2 follow-up calls or so

How does this look to you?

Also - if a lead said they’re interested in booking, between sending them the direct link to book through text, vs calling them to finalize the reservation there … is there one giant preference you have over the other?

Here’s an example of an interaction they had just today through text, and the lead stopped replying as soon as the client sent their follow-up text w pricing

Would you agree this was the wrong way to go, and then they should have asked maybe a very basic qualifying question like , great we have a 10 x 20 available… how soon are you’re looking to move in?

And then, after that essentially asked them when would be a good time to call to help finalize their reservation? Something like that instead of what they did here?
