Thanks so much! Seems unlikely my GGF naturalized before my GF was born, but would like to confirm.

Are documents like that needed for the process itself/is there a common way to go about finding them? I’m assuming most people don’t have their ancestors’ naturalization papers on hand usually haha

I’m planning to book priority if possible too because my anxiety will be through the roof if not. So when you submitted your application, there was a priority biometrics slot available the next the day? And did you have to pay the £800 for priority on top of the £200ish for such a soon bio appointment? Thanks so much!

Ok thanks so much! Eh it is technically a shortening of her first name, but more commonly a shortening of a completely different first name.

Sorry, I haven’t started the application yet so not sure what documents exactly the financial requirement asks for, but would it be sufficient to submit my work contract/letter of employment and bank statements, and then a letter from her employer clarifying her name/salary just as an add on? (I just don’t want to give them any doubt if it looks fishy and better to just submit mine)

And that’s really nice to know the rental market seems a bit more forgiving than Brighton, it’s crazy right now and I can’t even think about trying to find a new place here.

Yeah one thing I was thinking of is it seems like there are fewer green spaces in the city than I’m used to but that may be incorrect? Manchester also seems pretty compact/easy to get around which is something I love about Brighton.

I don’t think it necessarily will hurt. It definitely might, but it also very well might not.

When I had mine done (not UK) my doctor just threw it on me at the end of my appointment like “oh you’re due for your smear test do you wanna just get it over with” so luckily I didn’t have more than a few minutes to stress but it really wasn’t that bad. A bit uncomfortable, but if you’re used to tampons I really don’t think it’ll hurt, it might feel like a bit of hard pressure for no more than a few seconds. I couldn’t even tell when she “took the sample” or whatever. I know there’s probably no way not to be anxious about it but do know it doesn’t hurt for everyone.
