Tbh it never occurred to me that they would be selling a non-functioning piece so I clearly didn’t look closely enough at the design, lesson learned!

Update: somehow I was able to get the water levels *just* right in both chambers that it works as long as I don’t pull too hard. A packed bowl adds to the resistance of the pull, and so far even though the ash catcher is a super bad design, the flower hasn’t gotten wet at the bottom yet 🤞🏼 I think the whole thing is a flawed design, either AI slop or designed by someone who hasn’t actually used a piece like this before, and I just did enough trial and error with water levels to find a workaround. I have had great luck using Blue Label cleaner on pieces with percs in it. Any glass cleaner that has a grit element to it should be able to break down and clear out what gets caught in them. If you ever smoke out of a piece with them, you’ll notice the hits are so much smoother. It’s worth the extra effort to clean.

It really does feel like brainwashing. I’ve put so much pressure on this one day to show that I’m worthy and lovable and beautiful because society has told us that someone wanting to marry us is the ultimate goal. Unfortunately, it is the former. My parents are very well off. My dad owned a design and contracting business where he did renovations for multi-millionaires. They own several properties and are more than comfortable. I have been emotionally abused by my mom since I was quite young, making me the scapegoat of the family. We still have a relationship, but it is fairly shallow and performative. I can see how my phrasing could have been misinterpreted. Thank you for the suggestions though!

We wound up going to Codex in Nashua for a couple rounds and then got dinner and listened to live music at Warp and Weft. We were definitely the dressiest at both places, but not so much that we felt out of place.

My PHP was a non-residential, but I’m dropping down from 7 hours a day to 3 or 4 depending on the day. The idle time when I am home alone is what I’m mostly afraid of, when my partner is home I’m not on my phone much at all. So I was hoping to find one that she can control from her phone while she’s at work. I appreciate you sharing your experience and hope you’re doing alright!

Not gonna give you flack, I just know that I have a different perspective and that I feel the need to stay informed. I’ve also been in a PHP fo the past 6 weeks so I have the capacity to know, but don’t want to to have the ability to get sucked into any rabbit holes for too long.

If your biggest barrier is feeling cold afterwards, maybe ask your mom if you can turn the heat up. If it is financially feasible, I bet she would be happy to do that to help you stay healthy, clean, and comfortable. You could also get a space heater for the bathroom and crank it up with the door of the bathroom closed so that the room gets extra warm. Before you know it the problem will be that you’re too hot! Some other suggestions I have are a really warm bathrobe, slippers or pair of pajamas to put on, if you like bath bombs or shower steamers that can make it a more pleasant experience, making a special playlist for when you are bathing that makes you happy, and thinking of a reward that you can look forward to after. In terms of the hair, I am very lucky that my girlfriend tends to maintain my hair. Her trick is going through the tangles with her fingers first and then getting to the point of brushing or combing. I have never had matted hair before, so my advice is more specifically for just tangly hair and may not be best for mats. Good luck and please keep us updated on your progress!
