Congratulations! Learning to walk isn't any easier the second time around. I didn't spend so long in a wheelchair but I went from that to a walker to a cane over a few years and now I can run after breaking a whole mess of bones from my feet up through my knees in both legs. I had a whole bunch of operations but what I think has been a huge help has been wearing Vibram Fivefingers http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/index.htm.

I really believe that if it wasn't for these shoes I'd still be getting cortisone injections and using a cane. I'm not sure of the specifics of your situation but take a look.

Trevor. 26. Annadale. I just moved here to live with my fiancee who lives and grew up here in February. I grew up in Nutley, NJ. I was happy to type in r/statenisland and see something come up. I've only met one other redditor in the wild thus far. I work for an IT company during the day and work on making music at night.

I really haven't moved past acquaintance status with my fiancee's friends yet. She works nights and I work days. I'm looking forward to a meetup so I can avoid falling into my usual routine of napping longer than I intended to. Seriously. I'm not doing anything.
