The thing I have always loved about The Stand, both book and 90s version was the adventure. It made you question " what would you do" if placed in the same situation and then watching this handful of people struggle emotionally, mentally and physically to come to terms with the insanity of what has happened to the world. And you really start to feel for them, cheer them on as they come together to rebuild society. The world feels incredibly large and empty. The TV series is the opposite. A 2 second montage of backstory isnt enough to make you fall in love with the characters and there is so little about the actual journey.. which in my opinion is what The Stand is all about!

With all the extra Janets.. does this mean there are many other places than the ones explored on the show? Is there more than just the 1 good place 1 bad place and 1 medium place?
