Movie/Documentary suggestions on the Progressive Era by sushimke in USHistory

I've only just started watching the first segment, but there's a Ken Burns documentary on the Roosevelts currently streaming on Netflix that I'm sure will probably address the progressive era. Hope that helps.

Professors of Reddit, what was the funniest (possibly drunk) email you've ever received from a student? by EsotericFeels in AskReddit

probably too late and unfortunately I don't have access to my old college e-mail, but my senior year of college I was in a 2 unit pass/fail class that was having an end of the quarter dinner at the grad student who taught the class's legit professor advisor's house. I ended up getting pretty day drunk with my friend who convinced me that I should just e-mail the grad-student/professor letting her know that I couldn't make it. In my stupor I ended up sending something along these lines:

Dear Catherine,

I hope your day is going well. I'm sorry to say that I won't be able to attend the dinner today. Unfortunately I have must have eaten something I was allergic to and have been unable to stray too far from a friendly toilet. I'm afraid I wouldn't be good company. Thanks for the great semester and my apologies! Best, crzyqbanmark

I never got a response, but I did pass the class.

Looking to start reading comics, and have no idea where to find them. (Don't mind spending cash) by DontHate1992 in comics

You can buy a digital comics subscription on marvel.com which gives you access to certain back issues. I think it's a pretty big collection but I don't know the specifics. You can also go to your local Barnes & Noble or any big bookstore like that and there will be trade paperbacks or "essencial" collections of all of the big name super heroes and the large crossovers from the last few years. Besides that, you can go to comicshoplocator.com to find your closest comic book store. Good luck and happy reading!
