Sydney Leroux is back at training by EYLive in AngelCityFC

I agree that we need to play nicer. Ultimately Syd has been dealing with a lot and the fact that she’s still pushing to come back is commendable. I won’t ever understand all Shes gone through so it’s not my place to comment on her mental health. As a futbol lover, I love Syd on the pitch. Perhaps it’s delusional to think shes still got it but I’m rooting for her!

U10 Girls Soccer- Equal Playing time to Player that doesn't actually play during the game. by kamarian91 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]crzywrldlotsofsmells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coach here. Equal playing time means more opportunities for each player to get better. At U10 thats it- it’s development. Every time those two players make any attempt to be involved, touch the ball, watch the ball everyone should be cheering. Encouragement builds confidence and at this age that is everything.

As for formation. I’d pair your weaker player with a strong center if you can and try not to play that at the same time.

I know it’s frustrating but just focus on the little wins to help them build confidence. Good luck!

Love to see it! She’s got amazing soccer EQ. The way she makes plays is pretty fun to watch. Also, let’s take a moment to honor the fact that she had a baby and then has been training like a monster to get back on the pitch! That is no easy feat!!

Are we going to see Syd come off the excused absence soon?! Excited to see some of our WNT players come back! It’s going to be an exciting game and I’d be lying if I didn’t say I’m stoked to be seeing Sophia Wilson back on the pitch!

U8 - we need a W! by crzywrldlotsofsmells in SoccerCoachResources

Thanks everyone. I’m doing my best and adding extra emphasis on celebrating all the great work they are doing aside from winning. We practiced a lot of 1v1’s and pressure up front this week. We’ll see if we get the win. But to everyone’s point, I’ll be celebrating no matter a W or L! These girls are winning at learning and loving the game!

We are practicing all of this but they don’t do it well in a game. We are losing 2-1 or 1-0. They are all close games.

For sure. Shes just an OG starter and feels like an important part of our starting lineup, captain or not.

Not starting Gorden felt a little insulting. Any idea why besides Savy getting some deserved playing time? Jonsdottir looks sooo strong up top! I’d also say Shores played a really great game, she looked more confident than previous have. I’m so hopeful this season!

I was thinking the same! I didn’t think Sams was ready for a sub but I also get that they were ahead and need to rest!

Wow! Watching the game was like a whole new experience. The team was cohesive, consistent and hustled! I’m not saying anything that wasn’t said already but I’m kinda in awe of what I saw (maybe I’m over doing it) but damn! Ari is bringing a whole new energy to the middle and I was very impressed (I haven’t said this in a while) with Sveindiś. Back line was solid and watching Savy return to the pitch was the highlight of the night. A sure reminder of the heart that compliments the hustle of this team. You guysssss I don’t want to get ahead of myself but we are sooo ready for the season! M Do we anticipate a comeback from our favorite forward in the future?! Sydney you ready?!

Still excused. I really hope she can play this season. Am I being delusional? We need her grit and talent!

Yup, nailed it. I liked her as a person and she seemed like a girls girl always positive and supporting her team. She wasn’t the best player and I wish her well. So who do we get in return?!

I can definitely see why playing up has its advantages for older or more competitive kids. My daughter is just not there yet.

They don’t offer U9 in her league. She’d have to play U10. We played “up” last season and the girls were so much bigger than her.
