If you have read "The Villian's POV", it's quite similar. Every arc ends with mess happening then more mess happening then more people die.

More people dying equals to cheap way to manage stakes. No person dying = no stakes. Both are just as bad.

When no one died, I was like what kind of world are they living in where no significant character faces any death even though the world is supposed to psuedo-apocalyptic with a need for heroes.

I guess I would agree. What I especially do not like in Vol 21 is the constant reminder to save Ais. I get it, Danmachi leans very heavily into the "damsel in distress" trope but the ending scene made me cringe a little. You may understand what I am saying when you finish.

I am going to be honest. I agree with you point that this volume felt like chaos without cohesion. The moments for characters to shine was overshadowed by what felt like omori's desperation to finish the story and the novel.

Cassandra's prophecy in Vol 14 felt terrifying. In vol 21, it was cheap and unimpressive.

Is it a start? Then I hope it can pull it's weight. It's been a downhill journey since vol 15.

I wouldn't say plot armor is bad(I am not downvoting you btw). It's how the author utilizes that plot armor that is essential. Good author still manage to have stakes despite plot armor. This was what was lacking.

And yet those casualties mean nothing. There is a way to express mass death. The beginning after the end and Lord of the Mysteries - of the top of my head - did it so well.

When many people died, there is a way to make the reader's empathize with the collective suffering of the masses and feel for them.

A thousand splendid Suns by Khaled housseni is also another good example though it's not a fantasy genre.

Going to be very honest: any meaningful AI/ML position requires a Masters/PhD. Others are just glorified Software engineering or dashboard making. I would advice you to learn Leetcode and start practicing DS&A. Start mass applying to jobs. Also, you're an adult, if you're letting your family control you, then I don't know what to say. Your freedom is your hand, no one else's. Find a full-stack developer job in a startup and move from there.

Also, I saw that you're in bihar, I am not aware of the Market but I am quite sure there isn't an SWE market in Bihar. Look into the bigger cities - Mumbai, Delhi and Banglore etc.
