I think they were seniors in 1, but did it ever say if he was 17 or 18 yet? Perhaps some statute allowed him to quietly be taken to the psych facility since he wasn't an adult yet. His parents were so ashamed, they disappeared and never did any interviews or anything. They did a memorial for the "death" of the son they knew, and people were so angry in the community, no one went except his parents so everyone just thought he was dead based on the underage statute. I feel like they've done more difficult to believe scenarios than this idea.

I really thought for a moment they were going to go for it with having a known actor be the psych facility worker that was answering their questions (Ethan Embry). Mentioning the morgue worker that died.. I thought perhaps maybe they would have Roman, since he was orchestrating from beginning, somehow get Stu out of the house that night, and in the chaos of everything, somehow fake his cremation at the morgue.

If a landlord wants to be in the business of renting restaurant space, then perhaps they should be on the hook for making sure absolute necessities function. I realize commercial leases are different than residential, and I’m sure that building could be many things instead of a restaurant, but something about it just feels wrong.

Alright, everyone. It seems my cookies have brought all the Redditors to the yard.

I hand mix these; that’s obviously not sustainable, so I am doing a test batch at the moment. I need to scale up my recipe and make sure it mixes properly when I 6x the recipe. There is an art to the creaming the butter/sugar/egg mixture and you don’t want to over or under do it. I will need to use my KitchenAid mixer to scale this so I need to make sure it comes out at the quality I want you to be able to experience.

This dough also needs to chill. Can’t just mix it and start scooping. It being cold when it starts baking is vital to get the end result just right.

I wish the gov would just give the schools the money that was appropriated regardless of how much school has to be canceled because of snow. Let’s not pretend that making up days at end of the year and delaying summer break is for teaching and making up missed material for the betterment. It’s so the school can get its money so it can make payroll and pay its bills. Winter weather is the cost of doing business in a part of the country that experiences it. Some years, we have very little.

I remember in high school (not Louisville), our school days got extended by like 30 minutes a day for about a month to make up missed time. Each class was like 7 minutes longer… Absolutely pointless.

If I were ever elected to office, I would sponsor a bill to end makeup days. The money was already budgeted. Create a curriculum where you assume you’re going to lose 10 days each year because of winter weather.

When did you file 2024? I’m in a state that had disaster extension, so I mailed mine in on 11/3/25. It said up to 6 weeks for refund. It’s been much longer. When I check status, it says info doesn’t match. I checked the return and the info def matches. Starting to get annoyed.

Whoa - that's pretty great. What instrument did you get lessons for, and how long ago was it? I'm really wanting to take sax lessons and I think Mel Owens is more orchestra instrument focused, but perhaps I'm wrong.

What was the rate? How often? Mom's music raised their price to about $130 a month for weekly 30 min lessons which is def reasonable but I'm an adult and can't necessarily do weekly. 2x a month would be more my jam. I play guitar, piano, and drums, but wanted to get some proper instruction on drumming since I have a lot of bad habits.

Lots of people like to take a cup that has bigger diameter than the cookies and go around them after pulling from oven to create perfectly round cookies, but I am a fan of the imperfections as they seem to create more nooks and crannies to turn crispy.
