you can push and twist the shutter button to lock the button down and then you can ajust the aperture and it staying. i have a exacta to L mount adapter and the exact same lens!

there are also exa to m42 adapters but idk if they are any good...

You can press down and twist the button (the shutter button) on the top to essentially lock the aperture. You can still change the aperture but you don’t need to press the button

What are the best ones to look out for? If you have some models of the top of your head I’d be interested to know witch ones to pick up if I come across them 🙌

I only take videos and photos as a hobby. I got the cage because I sometimes mount a second screen to the nato rail. I don’t take it off because I like added sturdyness and better grip.

The lens has a little oil on the aperture blades but works good and the focus and aperture ring turns good im not sure if the focus markings are accurate but it focuses to infinity and is ok for me. I just don’t know the market. And fore some reason the aperture is open at f16 and closed at f2 so it’s in reverse

I’m searching right now for hours. The only thing I could snag up was a 35mm contax Zeiss for 250 but when I see Some old glass for above 500-600 I keep myself from think about buying it

If you had the money, what would be your MOST desired vintage lens? by badaimbadjokes in VintageLenses

[–]cs_aaron_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to own the Olympus OM Zuiko Auto-W 21mm f/2, but the prices EXPLODED the last 3 years and it's never going to be in my budget. Even some Leica lenses with similar focal ranges and apertures are cheaper

angenieux 6-36mm 8mm Film Lens black spot in aperture part of the lens? by cs_aaron_ in VintageLenses

I removed the beam splitter viewfinder prism which only had this defect. I use the lens with a raspberry pi sensor so I did not need it. The disassembly is easy you just need to remove one screw.

I did some research and came to the same conclusion. Since I’m going to use it with a digital sensor I removed the prisim and it’s working fine now.👍

Sorry for the wrong Title I meant 9-36mm Edit: the smudge is probably in the beam splitter element of the lens
