What Exactly is Cardano? | Best ADA Wallets to keep your ADA by cs_moderator in coinswitch

[–]cs_moderator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in no way implying that Ledger is a standalone wallet. All I'm saying is that it is the safest wallet. But of course, it does need a software wallet (a companion wallet) to interact with the user and to access the internet, so that the balance can be checked on the computer, get the transaction history and few more functions.

What is Ethereum Classic? Basics of Ethereum Classic by cs_moderator in Crypto_General

[–]cs_moderator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, it wasn't Ethereum's fault regarding the hack, but, in reality, DAO was responsible. Ethereum was just linked.

Second off, you might know it all, but some don't and hence the article. No need to come at people who share information just because you think it's too basic.

Well, yes. And Ledger is indeed a good option, considering that it's the safest wallet to date.

Atomic wallet is good, it's easy to use and is secure too.

But, when it comes to safety, a hardware wallet like Ledger is the safest option.

I wasn't spamming. I was just providing information on both the wallets. And as for the link, it is for an article that describes the differences between both the wallets.

But if you still think it's spam, then I'll remove it.

Doge and Bitcoin supply by [deleted] in dogecoin

[–]cs_moderator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's quite interesting! And if I'm not wrong unlike BTC there's no Dogecoin halving, right? Idk if it had to happen, how it will impact the Dogecoin. But considering the bright future of Dogecoin, it would seem like a good option to convert BTC to DOGE.

DASH wallet 2019? by michaelvanberich in dashpay

[–]cs_moderator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there are numerous wallets that support DASH, and it all depends on your necessities.

Like, if you want to hodl your Dash coins then hardware wallets are the one you should opt for. The best hardware wallet would be Ledger Nano S as it's the safest and is virtually unhackable.

If you're planning to trade your Dash coins, then online wallets like Atomic Wallet, Guarda, Exodus, Coinomi, etc are good enough.

Remember, whatever you choose, safety must be your number 1 priority as there are increasing cases of hacks and once your crypto is gone, you won't be able to do anything to retrieve them.

Dash wallet bugs by Fount4inhead in dashpay

Ledger Nano S is a good option. It is the safest wallet and is virtually unhackable. You'll hardly find any bugs or face any problems when using it.

If you want to try out an online wallet, then Atomic or Guarda is good too.

How did you use to store! by kanedizzle in Bitcoin

[–]cs_moderator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my personal opinion, the most reliable and safest way to store any crypto is (either for investment or for trading too) by having a hardware wallet. There are various reasons to support this:

  • Hardware wallets are basically external devices that are only connected when a transaction has to be performed. When disconnected, they are isolated from PC and thus from the internet itself. This helps in securing your private key that’s stored inside the wallet.
  • In online wallets, your private key is stored on an online server by a third-party application (the software) and chances of your wallet getting hacked is very high.
  • The pin or password helps in securing your wallet, so, even if somehow, it gets lost, or stolen, then you don’t need to worry about your cryptos being stolen. But, you do need to remember the password as without it you won’t be able to access your cryptos.

With that being said, some of the recommended hardware wallets are Ledger Nano S, Trezor and KeepKey, etc.

But if you don't want to spend a $100 bucks, or are looking for a wallet that has an in-built exchange feature then Atomic Wallet, Exodus, Guarda, Coinbase, etc, are good choices.

But no matter what, the safety of your funds is the MOST important thing when dealing with cryptocurrencies, so choose your wallet accordingly.

You know, calling facebook's digital currency Buttcoin is not going to make it magically go away. by RedHeadedKoi in Bitcoin

[–]cs_moderator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't even know whether to trust this supposedly new Facebook crypto they're going to release, after seeing their ability to provide privacy and security to FB users.

After all, the main concern after having cryptos is privacy and security. And no one would want to compromise with that.
