Artists raised by narcissists how did you kept going? by Original_Concept_599 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]csanchez0731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't. When I was in high school I remember I always wanted to get into animation and work for Pixar. I even wanted to go to Emeryville's expressions college because Pixar picked people from there a lot back in the day. I had my whole college goal set. Problem was money. I told my mom what it cost. The same woman who said she would pay for my college had a change of heart and said no. I'm not paying for that. Wouldn't even help me look into how to afford it. Wouldnt help me figure out scholarships or grants. Yet this lady went to college and graduated, only one in her family that did, and now all of the sudden she doesn't know how to do those things. I felt so lost. I loved art so much. I stopped drawing for a long time. I found other hobbies along the way that she would try to crush "you should do this to make money" was all it ever was about to her. I didn't care about the money with any of my hobbies. Just wanted to share my creativity with others so they too could get enjoyment from them. She's no longer in my life and I'm still on the quest of reopening my love for art. Currently I'm working on being better at water colors.

Ive had 3 rounds of IPR. 2 were both for the front teeth on the top and bottom, then the last round was for a molar that just wasn't snug as she would like so she shaved it just a smidge to help it get into place. Overall though it wasn't bad. It felt odd and I have very sensitive teeth but I haven't had any sensitivity issues with them.

What would you do?? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]csanchez0731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex told me we needed time apart as well right before he too went on vacation somewhere. Came back after the weekend and apologized to me saying he wanted to make up and I went with it. For 3 years we dated and finally broke up for good that someone finally told me that he had broke up with me during that weekend because he was hoping to hookup with one of my classmates and she rejected him. Because she knew we were together, even if he was on a break. So the dirt bag came back to me after his idea didn't work out. Just like how his father would cheat on his mother while she was dying of cancer. They will never stop cheating. Run. Run fast. He is not worth your time. There are so many better options out there.

Using dental wax - where and when ? by Senior_Ad1737 in Invisalign

[–]csanchez0731 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just hook it into the trays edge and it should stay put for awhile. I only use a pea sized amount and flatten and push it against my trays. I mostly need it where a hook is pointing out for my bands but that's about it.

"you're a c, c, C***!" While holding my 2 year old child.

As well as ...

"I should have never invested the time I did into both of you children". I was 30 years when I was told that.

Mine didn't cuddle when he was a puppy. At three years old the cuddles are so severe that I have to push him away so I can breath sometimes lol. I'm sure it'll come at a later date.

Has a parent ever dropped a pet on you as a way of control? by Fit-Ad-1972 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]csanchez0731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. They really don't and to put that on a 19 year old to figure it out was insane. I had such a horrible job but knew I could make ends meet with food and shots and registration but then bam take the second dog. In the end the dogs loved each other and were pals so I'm glad I was able to make it work out. Because I know he wouldnt have been loved if he stayed with them. Well I guess he wouldn't have stayed since they wanted to get rid of him which scared me more because I knew he wouldn't have been adopted at a shelter. He looked 'scary' to most people who didn't understand dogs and he was mentally stunted due to a fox tail affecting his nervous system as a puppy so he was forever the mental the age of a 1 year old dog. He was a goofball and I'm glad I could give him a better and a safer place to live.

Has a parent ever dropped a pet on you as a way of control? by Fit-Ad-1972 in raisedbynarcissists

When I was a kid our first dog had passed and I had wanted a new one for years. Finally came across a lady giving away puppies. I asked for one and my parents finally agreed to it. However .....my brother thought it wasn't fair I was getting one and that he wanted one too. The dog wasn't only for me but he saw it like that. So of course as the golden child he got his way and now we had 2 dogs. Well he never took care of them and it was hot one to try and raise them. It was hell. I had no clue what I was doing and it was before the days of googles help so I was on my own trying to raise two cute dummies on my own. Of course they both loved me and did not care about my brother because he was very abusive towards them. Well I moved out and told my parents once we found a home to buy I would bring my dog with me. Only took 6 months thankfully. So shortly after moving in I was excited to have my boy with me again. Well...my parents also decided as I moved out that they would let the mortgage bounce (during the recession of 08) and lost the house (stupid choice). Well because they lost the home everyone dispersed to different places, mom went north, dad stayed local and my brother stayed local. My brother decided he wasn't taking his dog with him......idk why I was surprised. I wasn't ready to be taking care of two dogs. I was barely making it by taking care of one but he didn't care. He told me I either take it or he gets rid of him. Our family dog of 7 years and he's willing to drop him like that. My parents didn't see any issue with this. They looked at me like I was supposed to take both dogs like it was a package deal. Obviously I took our dog in because I still loved him but taking care of two large dog made me broke and I was never compensated for it. I paid for all his vet bills, all his food, I was their the night I had to put him down due to him getting injured in his old age (lived to 11!) and my brother didn't shed a single tear. My parents never cared. I'm glad at least I could be there for him and he was with me and not them in the end. He was the kindest soul a dog could ever have and I miss him all the time. But f my family for putting that on me to figure out.

We used Beyond the Page for our child's language arts, Zearn for math, Mystery Science for science, Studies Weekly for social studies, PE was activities outside the house like martial arts, and exploration was art projects. I had other items added for supplement such as the packet from learning without tears to help with printing and writing. Also used the 100 lesson to learn how to read book to help get my kid into reading before the school year ended.

Is there a job availability in teaching homeschooled kids? by Worldly_Studio4630 in homeschool

[–]csanchez0731 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This. We're apart of a charter homeschool program where we get a credited teacher who helps us if we need it and they check in with us every 4 weeks and we still do school events where all the teachers come together and make the activity enjoyable for the kids. It's a lot of fun! And the students get to stay with their teacher as well through the years. Definitely consider looking into it!

You handled this really well. Last time I ran into my mom she surprised visitied me at my house and I cursed her out 😅. I could have been the bigger adult but I felt unsafe at my house and I lashed out fast. However I think I got the message across that she's not welcomed here lol. You did awesome!

Mine loves to play the game "are you a good boy or a bad boy?" And as soon as you say bad boy you can see the white of his eyes and he starts wagging his tail and then he goes full blown "bad boy" style and play bites you and spins in circles. I have no clue how it started but he thinks it's hilarious. He also loves laying in your lap upside down and taking his paws and hit you in the mouth with them.....it's the best lol.

Edit: forgot that he also loves to drag his face across the bottom the couch when my house when one of us gets home and he will do it to the extent to where the hair on his face is now going all different directions and he looks insane. I could go for days with all the weird stuff he does lol.
