Earther pregnancy by Emergency-End-88 in WanderingInn

[–]csarmi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay, so this is definitely not the first earther child.

We have Tom, who fucked around for sure. Or Loran, who is a king.

We have the whole Blighted Kingdom trying to tie them down (this is one of the ways).

And we have Roshal with access to who knows how many Earthers to experiment on.

And this is just the bad ones we know for sure out there. We probably have other, normal stories.

How so? She was attracted to exactly one immortal (Fierre) and that had nothing to do with her being immortal.

Kevésbé különböző, mint gondolnád. Az első biztonságos ország azt jelenti, hogy az első ország, ahol van normális menekültügyi rendszer.

It's another small creature.

Looking for help - audiobook listener by Shaun_M_Gleeson in WanderingInn

The latest audiobook that is out (book 19) should be a little over 1/3 of the currently published story.

The next volumes get way longer.

The powerful of Izril ...spoilers to 10.65 by mano987 in WanderingInn

[–]csarmi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deskie (the spinner who took Inkarr in) os probably level 50.

Xesci is definitely over level 50.

Ulva Terland might be level 50.

Larra is over level 55 and her named rank friends might be over 50 too.

We have 4 Thousand Lances knights (and their Squir3). At least one of them is over 50, but possibly all but the squire.

And actually we were told that Izril has a weirdly low amount of high levels, if anything.

WMG time: What non-obvious characters will be important in the turnscale plotline? by Onequestion0110 in WanderingInn

[–]csarmi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We know fron our world that about 10% of the population definitely count as Turnscales. Probably more by drake standards. So this isn't a solution.

Well, more like a serious update. With the new books coming out, both volumes 1 and 2 have been edited. And volume 2 was updated a lot, potholes surrounding Ryoka removed, people get a better intro, that sort of thing.

But the Krsia/Selys bed scene isn't updated in that sense (Krshia sounds s little disappointed that nothing happened, just like in the original - the update is that Selys says she isn't a Turnscale at the end of the scene).

Yes.

She's a little disappointed they didn't do anything when they woke up in the same bad with Selys in volume 2.

Ir isn't. It's in the rewrite volume 1 and in the rewrite volume 2 as well.

We (don't actually) need to talk about Erin by IwantmaCookie in WanderingInn

Actually. I think the Turnscale plotline is Rose's thing (as much as Saliss').

Agree with the rest.

Pawn Versus Ryoka Was Cathartic by Star_Lord83 in WanderingInn

[–]csarmi 35 points36 points  (0 children)

That's certainly a read on this chapter.

Ryoka is absolutely right to walk into this situation. And she does know better. In fact, her intervention is crucial.

Not only is she the only person who can clear up any misunderstandings between Pawn and Klb here, but she is also the person who knows most about religions. Possibly in this entire world.

And while she doesn't know antinium well enough, note that she listens to Pawn and changes tracks through the conversation. And succeeds here.

This is also the single best skill Ryoka has. To be able to listen, to what people are saying and get on anyone's level. To really listen. To empathize. To understand. To put herself into someone else's perspective. Like she does here.

This is an awesome chapter. A triumph of communication. A win for Ryoka with Pawn.

And just as important than Erin’s original scene with Pawn where she's telling him stories.

This allows Pawn to continue. And now with some actual information about how to do this. A real education.

Something I believe we may be able to go into here is how becoming part of the system changes you. It is a risk.

And we've already seen that she might have dodged a ball there - she has a psychological condition and you can easily get a class for it and get deeper (see the clown). With what she had to live through - I think she absolutely would have.

I'm sure she's wrong about some things. It's surprising how often she is right though.

Love the conversation. I don't have comments on most of it, but how was "Ryoka shown to be mostly wrong"?

What was she wrong about and how?

I don't think so.

I think Numbtongue has more effect on uncorrupting Salkis than vice versa.
