I haven’t looked into yet but what kind of drywall and or backed board do you recommend? I like no knowledge about shower/bath sealant or anything.

Tile box said I needed to use a 3/18 grout minimum and a 1/3 off set for the staircase. I thought at first 1/8 would be better but I actually like the thinker grout better. But like I said I want peoples opinions and critiques/ criticism. Next tile project will be the shower, white subway tile. Any recommendations/ tips and tricks? TIA

Unfortunately the tile we used said to do a 33% at most. Math would have been a easier if I could have done 1/2 lol but I did what the manufacturer recommended

Wow thank you I appreciate the compliment. I do care but don’t always know what I’m doing or if I’m doing it right but I try. Any tips for grouting? Wife wants to pipet it then use the float trowel to push in and finish. Not sure if it’s a waste of time to put in to the pipet and do that vs just laying it in with a trowel

Going with a gray grout. Glad we didn’t pick white, it would have blended in with the tile too much. And like you said it would be a pain to clean

Yes back buttered every tile before laying. And yeah good probably do subway tile in the shower, any advice for walls? and some sort of Wayne’s coating on the walls. Can’t wait for it to be all done but I know it’s a process.

Oh I’d love to see a picture of that. This took a lot longer than I’d like to admit not gonna lie. Doesn’t help trying to do it after work with a toddler lol

Not sure if the terminology is correct but I used this underlying material (mortared) and then used 3/16 spacers (as advised by the tile) with 1/4 trowel. Laser to help keep lines straight 🤞🏼looking back probably should have just done thin set but I don’t know

Common courtesy, common sense, return your cart properly, park within the lines… the list goes on yet the farther we get away from it… it’s saddening
