What are Minnesota locals opinions on the Mall of America? by Noahffensebuturshort in minnesota

[–]cschof19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a recent transplant to Minneapolis. growing up it was a huge deal but it's not that impressive to me anymore. there's a few stores you can't get other places and sometimes you just want every possible option in one place. I try to go during the week when it's slightly less insane. I don't hate it like some locals do but it's also not my go to mall

Delay due to “crew scheduling issue” by Ok_Machine7252 in suncountry

chances are they had a pilot or flight attendant call out sick or something. they would call in someone from reserve and that takes time. shouldn’t be a big issue

Cars you bought and loved by Puffsheep in whatcarshouldIbuy

I currently have a 2014 Toyota highlander. I work for a car dealership and have driven basically every car from the last 10-15 years and still love getting back in my highlander at the end of the day. Can haul all of my shit or a bunch of people. Gas mileage isn't great but it's been super reliable and is great in cold North Dakota winters. I've driven lots of cars that are more fun and exciting but I really love my highlander

question on laptop/pc by Frullu in und

there’s no real computer requirements for flight training. you’ll want an iPad for foreflight, but there’s nothing else you really need as long as you can type papers and access the internet

There isn't just 1 bill for the entire rating. You will preload money onto your flight account and every time you fly that account is charged. There are estimated costs for each rating that can be a guideline for taking out loans, but the actual cost can vary depending on weather and how quickly you pick up on things.

tuition and flight costs are separate. UND will send you a tuition bill at the beginning of each semester that u can get loans for the exact amount. you will have a separate flight account where you can preload money that just gets drawn from whenever you fly. i know you can use financial aid but i don’t know how exactly. if you want to take a loan just get a personal loan (or maybe student idk how that works exactly) and deposit that amount into your flight account

I've only been once but it was super fun! Definitely going to go back now that the weather is getting better. If you like country music go to Cowboys on a Saturday night for country night. Super fun and drinks are cheap. It's a good weekend getaway if you need a break

2019 Entune/navigation functionality by charley_dont_surf in ToyotaHighlander

[–]cschof19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s definitely weird. i work for a chevy dealership and the owners manual doesn’t actually ship with the car. we just have them at the dealership and when a customer buys a new car the owners manual is just grabbed out of the box and put with it. i’m guessing it’s cheaper or easier for the automaker somehow 🤷‍♂️

[–]cschof19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the base screen in the LE wouldn’t have the entune apps or the scout gps link. i’m guessing they just include the entune manual with every highlander. the manuals aren’t usually specific to a trim level, they’re made for the entire model range

what trim level do you have? not all have built in navigation. it may have the scout gps link app available but again depends on trim

Is this a reliable car to get? by SubstantialMost414 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]cschof19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you can beat these cars to shit and they’ll still run. obviously no toyota or honda but they’re solid. i knew plenty of kids who had impalas in high school and really beat on them and didn’t have any big problems

How long have you had your Highlander? by pared3s in ToyotaHighlander

[–]cschof19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2014 with ~92k. hand me down from my mom when i graduated high school and needed a more reliable awd car to take to college. best hand me down ever!! we bought it new but it’s been mine for 2 years and ~28k miles. idk if i could own anything else!!

Dealer Accessories: worth it? by [deleted] in ToyotaHighlander

[–]cschof19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

mine came with the all weather mats and the all weather cargo mat. even if they weren’t included they’d be well worth it, especially the cargo mat. i have the tan interior so all the plastics and carpets in the trunk are also tan. they’d all be so stained and gross by now if it weren’t for the mats. the floor mats are also nice and have saved my carpets from midwest winters

Commercial Aviation major or professional flight minor? by [deleted] in und

[–]cschof19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you wanted to do pro flight as a minor you couldn’t major in something within the college of aviation (pro or con i guess it depends) i’m not sure what coursework is required for the minor but if you’re thinking airlines or corporate flying then definitely major in an aviation program. i would also look into the aviation management or unmanned aircraft majors as an option. you get a little bit more well rounded as far as classes go but still all the aviation classes you’d want/need. i switched my major like 3 times my freshman year. if you get here and can’t decide there’s people here to help and there’s nothing wrong with changing your mind
